- ashvparkerCape Town, South Africa6 contributionsOf course Lion's head is free, other than the energy required to get up. However if you are looking for a hike, Lion's head is by far the easiest hike the gives the best of the Cape Town mountain views. Great to do for sunset and easy to get down under moonlight.Written 19 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Liezel Wilson2 contributionsBeautiful beach but very windy.
Great place to take your dogs for a run. So much open space for them to go wild.Written 24 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - tpgavulicFort Lauderdale, FL8 contributionsWhile visiting South Africa to volunteer, I had a chance to spend three days on safari in Greater Kruger, all artfully arranged by Hayley at Go Cape Town. The service and responsiveness were excellent and the suggestions spot on. I spent the time at Umlani, where I had a truly memorable experience - including great sightings of the Big Five. Go That Way handled all the arrangements for me and made it so easy to add this unique experience to my time in South Africa. I highly recommend them.Written 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Monty T2 contributionsThe Lions head hike was amazing! Riaan made us both feel very comfortable which was great as we're new to these types of hikes. It's clear he's an expert in this and knows a ton about hiking, nature and more. It was great to have some interesting conversations throughout too!
Highly recommend and hope we can return for another one soon. Thanks Riaan!

- Chloe Unwin1 contributionAmazing tour - highly recommend! So many different activities and adventures, from canoeing, hiking, cave tours and of course the wonderful Safari! Above all, our tour guide Christine really made the trip - her knowledge and love for South Africa was invaluable and she always made sure that the group was having the best time. Her infectious smile and personality were a joy!! Would go again in a heartbeat!Written 6 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Hester1 contributionAmazing experience. We saw so much wildlife (southern right whales, sunfish, dolphins, seals, sea birds) and Paul was really knowledgeable and considerate of the wildlife.Written 7 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kristen R3 contributionsThis was my family's second Table Mountain hike with Lauren, the first being in January 2015. It was a delight to return after seven years and reconnect in this magical location. Lauren and Johan took their time throughout the hike to share their vast knowledge about the flora and fauna around us as well as the history of Table Mountain and surrounding area. All questions were welcome, we never felt hurried along; their love and respect for the natural environment was evident from start to finish. Lauren and Johan took time to carefully plan our hiking route taking into consideration our fitness levels and appetite for challenge. If you have an unplanned day in Cape Town, I wholeheartedly recommend spending it with Mother City Hikers. You will create memories to last a lifetime and dream of coming back again!Written 9 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- darq1Johannesburg, South Africa24 contributionsI did the Lion's head climb but was a little nervous to go up the chains and ladders and my guide was very accomodating, taking me an alternative path back down the mountain. My guide is a qualified game ranger with 30 plus years experience in the area plus has a background in geology, botany and zoology so I learned so much along the way - about the plants, rock formations etc. i will definitely use this company again and next time I will attempt the chains and ladders because on returning to the bottom I realised that even a lot of pensioners had managed it. I chose to hike with a guide because I did not want to do the climb alone and I am so glad that I did. It was definitely worth it. This company also offers many other hikes in and around Cape town.Written 20 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- martinLD1St. Gallen, Switzerland129 contributionsI have spent a great day with Clive on a Peninsula Tour. Everything was perfect starting from the first contact when Clive responded very quickly and provided all the necessary information. The tour itself was even better than I had imagined. Clive showed me all the great places and explained a lot to me about life in South Africa which I really appreciated. He knows the best spots and was very attentive whenever I wanted to make a stop to take a picture. A highlight was our lunch at a great fish restaurant where all the locals go. If you are in Cape Town I would really recommend spending some extra money to do a private tour – you will get a much more authentic experience compared to driving around in a tourist bus.Written 3 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Angel SCosta Mesa, CA488 contributionsSpoil yourself and do this while visiting Cape Town!! We did the hopper tour (1850R per person) and it was phenomenal! Our pilot Philip was knowledgeable about the area and able to tell us about the major landmarks during our flight. We appreciated the fast communication with the employeevia the website via WhatsApp as the weather was horrible earlier in the day.. and they were able to keep us posting with conditions and still accommodate us last minute! Because no one else was scheduled at the time we arrived, we were able to have a private helicopter tour (without paying extra for it to be private).Written 30 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
