I booked Lesley for 2 days when our ship was docked in Cape Town. She was very prompt in answering my emails and gave great suggestions as to what we might see and do. Her van is very comfortable, clean and air conditioned. She has a PA system installed in the van so that the folk sitting in the back can still clearly hear her commentary. Bottled water was provided for us.
She was waiting for us when we exited the cruise terminal on both days.
The first day was a half day tour of Cape Town for 5 people. It was part walking and part driving. She saw to it that we got to the Castle of Good Hope in good time for the firing of the cannon. We visited the Company Gardens, Bo Kaap, Signal Hill and St George Cathedral. We also had a fantastic visit to a local beading/co-op shop called Streetwires. While doing all of this she also kept her eye on the website for the waiting times of the cable car up Table Mountain. On this first day it was stopped for some time due to high winds and later the queues were long so we did not make it up to the top on Day 1. We had booked a 4 hour tour for today but Lesley was very generous with her time and this tour went for longer than the hours scheduled.
Day 2 was a full day tour again for 5 people to the Cape of Good Hope. This was a very scenic drive in her comfortable van and she stopped at several viewpoints for photos. We went to Cape Point, saw wild ostriches, took the funicular to the top and down again. We stopped off to visit the African penguins and Kirstenbosch Gardens on the way back to Cape Town. We were never hurried and her knowledge of places was extensive. In the afternoon Lesley again frequently checked online for info re the waiting time for the cable car up Table Mountain and as the times were good she dropped us off there in the last afternoon for our trip up on the cable car.
You would not find a better tour guide than Lesley - a lovely person doing a great job. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting a guide in or around Cape Town.
