Then trekked to cape of good hope.

It9 was 2.5 hour drive to Aquila Big Five zGame Reserve and tour guide Jamie /James was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, articulate and had a great since of humor. - Andrea L2 contributionsSo many things were wonderful about this Safari, the driver arrived on time, the buffet was really good, in the safari was very enjoyable. The only thing that could have been better, is the communication about the safari itself. I'm referring to the fact that they could have let me know that I would have had an hour to enjoy the spa or the pool prior to my Safari while I was on property. After you eat, you have some time to yourself, that is really the only thing that would have been better.
I saw almost all of the Big Five, the only thing I didn't get to see with the Hippopotamus because they stayed underwater to stay cool in the heat.
The staff was very helpful, property was beautiful and our driver was fun and interactive.

The instructions and getting started didn't take long. Please note that this is a guided tour so you won't be driving crazy, you will be following the guide. Also bring a secure bag for your items. If you drop something, like a phone in the sand dunes, it's going to sink and become lost. He even engaged all of the tour group in cultural discussion including his own life experiences. The tour itself was just the right amount of time to see the highlights while still keeping the afternoon free. We had enough time to walk around at each stop but the drive itself was also a great part of the day. Kembo was our guide and he was on time for the pick-up, professional, super nice, and well informed. Talking to him was so easy and he answered all of our questions relating to history etc.
We enjoyed touring multiple destinations. We stopped at a couple of lookouts where the views were breathtaking. Chapmans Peak drive was so beautiful!. We also like the cute area where we stopped for coffee.
Book this private tour. You will not be disappointed. Our guide Reagan, was on time. He was polite, professional and a great conversationalist! It was a bit of a drive but it was a beautiful one. The game reserve was really nice. They greeted us with wine, hello!
The tour was well organized. We saw several animals including lions, zebras and elephants. I wanted to see an elephant up-close but they were going up the mountain. The weather was perfect in November. I couldn't imagine doing this in the heart of summer. We enjoyed it.
After our safari tour, we stopped at a winery in Paarl for wine and cheese tasting. It was a perfect ending to our long and exciting day! I would recommend this tour if you are only visiting Cape Town and cannot travel to Kruger National Park. It its a great alternative. Also, book this company.
