- Maree RChristchurch, New Zealand1Â 286 contributionsWe drove up here for the views and they are spectacular. On a fine day you get the full 360, ocean, Cape Town, table mountain, Robbin Island and the beach. - Tracy E2 contributionsAbsolutely beautiful location and the hotel has a great charm and feel to it. The staff were very accommodating and service was generally good. If you are travelling with a large family (we were a family of 6) I suggest you pre book all your meals at the hotel in advance before arriving at the hotel. On arrival, when I tried to make a reservation for dinner, I was informed the restaurant was full. They suggested a restaurant in Camps Bay, which they reserved for us and had the hotel transport us there and back.
That same day, I had asked them to then please reserve a table for us for dinner for the following two nights at the hotel, which they said they would do, only to find out that no bookings had been made so we never got to eat in the main dining section of the hotel which was disappointing. We were relocated one night to the observatory and were given an all day snack menu to choose from and then on the 3rd night we were placed in the 24 hour cafe at the back of the hotel which was average.
I also phoned ahead for breakfast as on the first morning they couldn’t accommodate 6 of us together for breakfast, again, we were placed in the 24 hour cafe.Written 14 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
