Our guide gave us the history of the gardens, as well as a great overview of the trees and plants within it. The views from the Chart Farm stretchers as far as the eye can see to Muizenberg, Silvermine and back of Table Mountains not to mention the Constantia Valley below. When in season, you can pick your own roses and grapes at the farm. I must congratulate the proprietors of the Chart Farm Coffee Shop Sandra and Philip Engelen and their staff for the beautiful meals, friendly hospitality and fantastic customer services and people skills. A gem of a place and definitely worth a visit for a meal. Opening hours are from 0900-1600 every day.
