We booked this tour looking forward to going to Robben Island and taking the cable car at Table Mountain, but unfortunately the beautiful windy weather did not cooperate, lol.

Our tour guide Alex picked us up at 8:00 and took us around the town, riding up the coast toward Table Mountain. Once we got to the top of Table Mountain to purchase tickets for the cable car, we were informed that it was closed all day due to the wind. Alex improvised and took us to another area that gave the same panoramic views, if not better. To be honest, we were a bit relieved, because the windy weather had us nervous about taking a cable car. The views were beautiful and breathtaking.

We then drove through the city of Cape Town and Alex educated us on some of the historical buildings and areas in the city. When we got to the station to board for Robben Island we learned that no boat was going because of the wind :( no worries though, Alex improvised and made sure that we still enjoyed ourselves. I would have to completely thank Alex, otherwise the day would have been a complete disappointment and bust.

We left for Robben Island from V&A in beautiful weather and calm see. The island itself was idyllic with a beautiful view to the mainland and the mountains around Cape Town. The history was every thing else but idyllic and a former inmate gave us a good insight about the history - and the daily life at the prison. Good that it is history now !
The trip to Table mountain was amazing - the state of the art (turning around) cable car brought us to the top in seconds and the plateau was beautiful and with stunning views in all directions. We spent 1.5 hours just walking around.
The trip was well organized and the guide was very nice and skilled !

We had an amazing time on our 3-hour Clifton Cruise on the Serenity One! The music was great, the crew were excellent hosts keeping us entertained and supplied with drinks and facts about the sea life and local area. A great vibe overall and it was one of the highlights of our trip!

This was an eye opener visiting this prison museum which holds an emotional history of Nelson Mandela.

The history infrastructure and the whole surroundings are totally amazing. It takes someone with a big heart to learn and forgive the previous regime considering how they treated the political prisorners.

For those interested in global history this is a must do experience in Cape Town

We booked this tour with Kabura Travel. We were picked up by our hotel and transferred to Robben Island. We learnt a lot about Nelson Mandela and the history of South Africa. The whole trip to the island and back is about 4 hours. Thanks to KABURA Travel for such a wonderful service.

Was a wonderful time! Was a nice surprise to receive a whole bottle of champagne instead of just one glass. Staff were very friendly and the view was outstanding.
