We had a fine day. Danson was early, and was prepared for everything. He is quite knowledgeable, and a good listener. We finished at an alternate site for a concert, and he ensured we returned to our original destination after it.
We did miss the duiker ferry, but we saw seals at Hout Bay, anyway. One attacked my wife—never would’ve happened on a ferry. Unforgettable. And, oh, she’s fine.
For an American, a guide such as Danson is far superior to a manual transmission, British car rental, and driving on the left, with all that hassle, to all these different venues. We thought about doing this, but are glad we didn’t.
