If you want to get away from the V & A tourist area to see where the average person eats, this tour takes you there. Gilbert was knowledgeable about not only the food, but the history of Cape Town and the ethnic mix that flavors the food you are tasting. What a great tour we had. We visited two less known wineries which was super as not so touristy.
Both were beautiful and the wines were fantastic! We ended up buying a case from both places.
We had lunch at an exquisite resort restaurant with awesome food and great views.
Lizel was a great guide!! Easy to talk to and so knowledgeable!
I highly recommend this tour with Lizel

Willem had nearly encyclopedic knowledge of the South African (and particularly the Stellenbosch region) wine industry. Every detail was meticulously planned and executed. This is a tour for people who truly want to soak up all the sights, sounds, smells and particularly tastes of wines from great wine producers...in settings that can only be described as stunning. I consider myself a wine geek, and this tour (and guide) stretched the limits. - Katie K3 contributionsThe tour started off with the Table Mountain Cableway, amazing views from the top of Table Mountain of the Harbour, Lion's Head, Signal Hill. Go early (8am) to avoid long queues.
Thereafter, had the most scenic of coastline drives taking in the hip Camps Bay, Hout Bay to visit Seal Island (very affordable bar on board the boat), lovely winding Chapman's Peak Drive, ending at Cape Point with a small hike up to the Lighthouse, the views over False Bay are awesome! Take pictures at the Cape of Good Hope and don't forget to visit with the penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Finally return to Capetown via Fishoek and Muizenburg - a most thorough and enjoyable round trip.
