On the trip down to Cape Hope Candy educated us on some of the history of South Africa - and pointed out all the important native flora and fauna on the way. Highlight of the trip was unexpected encounters with a wild zebra, baboons, and an Ostrich. After having to cancel on the Saturday as I was really ill during the night, we were able to reschedule for the Sunday with no hassle whatsoever. Our guide Omar was so friendly and informative, a real pleasure to spend the day with. He also took us to the Table Mountain cable cars at the end of the day and waited for us, as I had been too unwell to go before. We really appreciated this and were so grateful. - Andrea L2 contributionsSo many things were wonderful about this Safari, the driver arrived on time, the buffet was really good, in the safari was very enjoyable. The only thing that could have been better, is the communication about the safari itself. I'm referring to the fact that they could have let me know that I would have had an hour to enjoy the spa or the pool prior to my Safari while I was on property. After you eat, you have some time to yourself, that is really the only thing that would have been better.
I saw almost all of the Big Five, the only thing I didn't get to see with the Hippopotamus because they stayed underwater to stay cool in the heat.
The staff was very helpful, property was beautiful and our driver was fun and interactive.

I was finally able to book a tour and experience the challenging/intense hike. I recommend doing this hike with a guide. I opted for the sunrise tour, and I highly recommend this company. Communication with the tour company was prompt. Transport to and from my B&B was provided. The pick-up was at 0400. The hike lasted three hours. Hiking shoes are highly recommended. There was a lot of rock climbing, including an area that utilized steel handles and chains. I was so happy to find out that I could use a ladder ( recently installed ) instead of the handles. As previously mentioned, the hike was challenging but exhilarating. The views at the top and the sunrise were just breathtaking and worth the hike.
Tauriq was great! He was very professional, kind, patient, and took amazing photos. He also provided a very informative education session on the area's history. Everything from the first communication, to the pick up, to the wine tours, to an impeccable lunch, to the rich conversation to the drop off was outstanding.
Our guide Louw was amazing. He was knowledgeable, kind, funny, interesting, and committed to providing us with a superb experience. We enjoyed our conversation with him so much that we asked him to join us for lunch at an excellent restaurant with stunning views, Glenelly.
Not only did we have an opportunity to try delicious wines at small boutique estates, we learned an incredible about the region and the culture leaving us with a thirst to learn more.
