Ask for guide: Pride of Lions, or just pride. He is VERY experienced! This reserve is gorgeous! Wish we had spent 6 hours there. We were there for 3. The reserve is beautiful and well run:

The Kings Tower is one of the best kept secrets at The Palace, and one of the finest places to see the sun rise over the Pilanesberg! We went up almost every day for either sunrise or sunset and never saw another soul up there... The views in every direction are truly breathtaking and it's a welcome space for a bit of relaxation and calm before heading out for a day at The Valley of the Waves.

Review of the Gatsby Spa and Massage Wednesday 15.6.22

We booked a couple's massage for 80 minutes as a birthday treat.
A muscular and relaxing deluxe massage will cost you R950 per person.
Katlego and Siphokazi did a wonderful relaxing massage.

We were welcomed and staff are friendly.

The steam room was not switched on at 11.45 am to utilise in the ladies bathroom.

    No tissues or
soap in the shower dispenser in the ladies bathroom.

The urn for hot water was not switched on for a cup of tea or hot chocolate while waiting for a massage at same time.
The lemon water tasted like plain ice water.

The pool next to the gym is not heated and there
is no jacuzzi available to use.

    Service is friendly.
    Music is calming and relaxing

    Amenities not up to standard.
    Spa prices are expensive.

Located next to the Cascades hotel.
    Shuttle service available.

We enjoyed a 3 hour game drive while staying at Sun City from 5-8 so left in full sun and came back in the dark.

One family turned up 25 minutes late which caused a late start and late finish. They were also pretty rude during the tour which was the one downside of taking a public tour.

Lolo was our guide and she was fabulous. She has tremendous knowledge and was great at communicating.

We saw rhino, hippos , lions, a leopard, giraffes and many more.

It was quite cold on the way back so take extra layers.

Lolo made up for the late finish by dropping us off at various hotels and restaurants.

Overall it was a good experience and worth doing if you’re at Sun City resort.
