- ashlee r31 contributionsWe had a wonderful time fishing with Johan and Kellan. We caught a lot of different types of fish and tried different types of fishing. We didn't get board of just sitting there with a rod in our hands, we were actively fishing and moving around to find the fish. I would highly recommend Mavericks fishing charter, it was easy to book and a good deal. They filleted up our tuna and Dorado for us as well. Lovely day on the water with a great crew.Written 14 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- kobusmeyer1 contributionOur experience on Ocean Commotion was pleasant and despite poor weather successful. - Johnny HUtrecht, The Netherlands12 contributionsWent whale watching with my family. They make you get there at 06:30 but don't leave until 7:00am which is shame. Who wants to stand around doing nothing for half an hour at that time of the morning. The whale watching itself was incredible. Highly recommended. We had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the owner of this company. She goes down and the most unfriendly person we met in our three weeks in South Africa. She should on a course to learn about customer service.Written 10 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Trail311767722954 contributionsAwesome fishing trip with Jeff on the fatbikes. Highly recommended as he's knowledge of the local coast is invaluable. Thanks again Jeff for an amazing day.Written 11 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- FrankDurban, South Africa2 contributionsWalter and his crew are very professional and it was a pleasure fishing with them.
The boat took us out for the full time we paid for, unlike other charters who did not keep their word.
We caught a bunch of fish and it was perfectly cut up and vacuum sealed.

This is supposedly long after the animals are active. Au contraire. Interesting because another buggy that left the same time we did saw very few animals. We have to remember this is the wild. There was something magical about our little buggy and our amazing guide whose name I somehow cannot remember! My bad. We saw every animal except the hyena and the wild dogs, including baboons. Those little warthogs grew on me big time! It was quite a contest to see you good spot the animals. They are not there to make us happy although inadvertently they do! Forget lunch be smart and bring your own little snacks because the hours will fly by.Written 12 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Khalid BDurban, South Africa241 contributionsA beautiful town, will leafy streets. Survives largely on fishing but there are some other activities around. Park the car in one spot and walk the main road, or even some of the residential side roads.Written 14 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - csharp35 contributionsOnly negative is that exodus charters refused to give us our fish saying sandals would not allow it. Our sandals butler told us guests bring fish back to the resort all the time.Written 31 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - byronjnurseLondon, UK35 contributionsWhat a fantastic trip. Leon did a great job- out of season he tried everything to get us on some fish and succeeded. Great company and an experience I won’t forget. All very professional and safe, plus loads of fun. Remember when you go fishing you are going for the experience and catching isn’t guaranteed! I couldn’t recommend the team highly enough!Written 15 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Anneschke B1 contributionWhat a spoil! My husband and I not only had fun but also gained some valuable tips on deep-sea fishing. From going out on the ocean with Legasea, where we spotted three schools of dolphins as a bonus, to driving into the sunrise at Mapelane Beach with an e-bike (fat bike) and catching a ton of shads and big-eyed kingfish. I caught my personal best yellowfin tuna from the boat along with a lot of bonitos. On the second trip from the beach, I even accidentally landed a rockcod just by standing on some rocks with my lure in the water in front of me, chatting. Thank you, Fat Bike/Legasea, for making our visit to St. Lucia one for the books.Written 29 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
