- Daydream346172719333 contributionsMy son and I took our first trip to the continent of Africa and the country of South Africa. We opted to not rent a car due to to safety concerns and they drive on the opposite side of the street. In hindsight, we would have been fine exploring KwaZulu-Natal on our own but we would have missed out on the local knowledge and insight provided by Gerda, our driver. We used Gerda 4 times to transport us to and from Richard's Bay airport as well between destinations. She speaks three languages and it was a pleasure to hear her switch from English, Afrikaans, and Zulu. She has a great sense of humor and is easy to talk with. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and I am grateful for all of the information she shared about her beautiful country and its people. Thank you for helping make our trip so special with great car service at a reasonable price!Written 28 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bill H4 contributionsJust had a wonderful 2 days of touring Cape Town and all the beautiful sights and suburbs around it with Lori Kelly! She was everything we had hoped for in a tour guide and more! Always on time, professional, kept the van sparkling clean and most importantly, she made everything lots of fun! We saw so many things we wanted to including The Cape of Good Hope, The Boulders Beach Penguins, many of the beautiful coastal towns on the Cape, and a tour of Cape Town itself where we learned so much about South African history. We always felt safe with Lori and she became part of our family very quickly! We could not recommend her more highly after our trip and can’t wait to come back and tour with her again!! Thank you Lori for making The Heagy Family’s Cape Town experience so amazing!!
(She also provided us with invaluable information for our stay in the Durban area! She is the best whether driving you around or helping you plan on your own!)Written 4 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. She is a little expensive though.Written 30 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Per H2 contributionsOur one day safari trip with Dumi to Imfolozi and to Izimangaliso/Cape Vidal had everything we expected! Dumi has deep knowledge about the African wildlife and we were lucky to see many animals close up. The highlight was the close meeting with the elephants.
Dumi offered superb service and we can warmly recommend him and his trips.Written 26 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our guide Mr. Siboniso Gina has indepth knowledge of the animal behaviour. He is very enthousiastic and searched for animals he wanted to show us. Great stop at Cape Vidal. On our way back he searched for the elephants, unsuccesful d-tours, but we dropped upon a leopard !! Just in front of the car. Little later on our way back out, the elephants showed up.
Wonderful friendly guide !Written 18 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
