- magsand33 contributionsJust recently completed my safari experience organised by Sara from wild wings and can happily say it was one of the best experiences I have had. After back and forth in regards to my itinerary the perfect package was arranged. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything from start to finish was so seem less. The accommodation provided was perfect. This company saved me a lot of headaches from trying to arrange it by myself. Would definitely look to use this company in the future and would definitely recommend to others.Written 1 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - carolyn sMelbourne, Australia9 contributionsGreat experience. Our guide was funny & knowledgable. If you didn't get to see some of the animals they have out in the wild, then it's a must. The only place you will see a black leopard.Written 25 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Candice PDurban, South Africa255 contributionsHaving visited here in early 2000, i had high expectations and my hubby is a hobby photographer so i had explained what it was like when we went last. Sadly for the price i was a little disappointed. We went purely due to wanting the see the king cheetah, first time i went they were not available to see as they were nursing cubs. This is extremely tourist orientated.
The tour is on a game drive truck, they drive you into the enclosures of the wild dogs and the King cheetah. We got to see the King cheetahs up close as the one came close to the vehicle. We saw the Ground hornbill, as well as where they have a "vulture restaurant" but it was just bones and the smell was a bit hectic with a few odd little hornbills etc. We saw sables as well as their rehab rhinos and calves that have been rescued that will be released back into the wild when they are ready. The experience was lovely, it was a bit rushed. Also they used to have the cheetah run, where they had like a stuffed toy on a line that they used to show how fast the cheetah can run, they don't seem to do that anymore. They have a curio shop as well as a little "Deli" restaurant. The curios were expensive. While i understand that it goes to research and all that, i just felt it was expensive for a local SA. We have been and definitely won't go again.Written 3 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. These are still wild animals, they could leave (and they do leave) when they want and stay away.
I still have concerns of what happens when Tony dies and Jessica is left, how she reacts and interacts with humans as she could become even more dangerous…but at the moment, I don’t see this as exploitation, I see it as conservation.Written 5 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Compared to other picnic spots in the park, it offers a more formal experience with a shop and restaurant. Yet, it still provides the option of renting a gas canister and skottel for cooking in the bush. As it is located between the Skukuza and Satara rest camps, it is a very popular picnic spot and can get quite busy, especially during lunchtime. The shop stocks a nice variety of items, and the restaurant (which also provides takeaways) serves the best venison pies in the park, in my opinion. My friend also told me that their Roosterkoek (traditional bread cooked over an open fire) was the best they tried in the park. If you are planning on visiting, it's worth noting that there are great game viewing opportunities in the surrounding area. We were fortunate to have an incredible lion sighting within a few minutes' drive from Tshokwane. I always have a great time visiting, and I definitely recommend making some time for it.Written 23 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Graeme K15 contributionsMy wife and I joined 6 friends to spend 3 nights in the nyala land trail camp.
This is the first time most of us walked in the Kruger Park and a few of us were honestly quite anxious about it but our guides (Christopher and sipho) were incredibly knowledgeable and took great Care to keep us safe.
The food (prepared by chef winston) was honest fare but very well made.
The camp is basic but offers a fantastic experience.
We were also taken to 600 year old ruins and dinosaur fossils.

The energy and passion from the team was palpable and uplifting. Audience participation is normally a dread for me, but I was drawn in and wanted to fully experience and be part of the performance! The authenticity of the music and dance was truly emotive and captivating.Written 1 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BackPacker5751512 contributionsOur full day safari with Senzo was excellent. We saw the Big 5 multiple times as well as wild dog and several birds. Senzo was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. I would highly recommend a safari with this company and if possible, with Senzo as your guide!Written 1 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marta T18 contributionsWe spent 4 nights in the Tremisana Lodge in August 2024, with transfer to and from Johannesburg included, we were two couples travelling, each with our own room and bathroom.
We were very happy with the choice, the lodges were comfortable, great meals and service, we even had some unexpected visits from some animals that came to drink near the lodge.
Game drives took place both in the Balule Reserve and in Kruger NP. The experience was wonderful, with lots of encounters with animals, thanks also to our wonderful guides who took turns on the various game drives, in particular Rocky, who accompanied us on two wonderful full days at KNP (with a fantastic rhino sighting!!), Ray and Marc, who took turns on the drives at Balule and the bush walk and gave us all sorts of informations on the animals and the nature around.Written 5 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GwenTongeren, Belgium3 contributionsThe absolute best full day Kruger safari ever!! Ask for Jason to be your guide, you won’t regret. Extensive knowledge of the park and the animals. Gives you enough time to admire and photograph the animals you spot. We had amazing sightings. Comfortable & clean vehicles. The day after we also did the bush braai. Great food, good company as you have time to socialize with your guide a bit more. Would book again without a doubt!!Written 25 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
