Tembe is essentially your private chef. A wonderful cook. She even baked a birthday cake for one of the guests. the Vivia Safari staff are wonderful also. The full day Kruger drivers/guides are knowledgeable. One of the Viva managers checks up with you at night and confirms the next day schedule. However, I felt he is not knowledgeable on the different animals not much learning happened, that was quite disappointing you can tell their tour guides aren’t properly trained to conduct game drives, at most you’ll get life expectancy and gestation period of animals ( Anyone can google this )
Afternoon game drives are a scam you don’t get to see animals. Don’t do it you don’t get value for money. Anything from 12h30 rather let it pass there’s nothing to see!. Lane was an excellent tour leader and explained a little about citrus farming but not overly much as I think she sensed we were anxious to get at the gin……
Be aware that the tour starts at Matumi Farm and not at Francine’s Venue as suggested in the itinerary on Trip Advisor. The hippos at the dam seemed as interested to see us as we were to see them. All in all a really nice outing.
