- bastian bischoffJohannesburg, South Africa24 contributionswe had a blast at sugar rush park, with my younger family doing the train and the unicorn slime making, and the older kids doing the tree tour, but unfortunately one of them didn’t make it all the way (got scared and climbed off), but it was still fun!Written 27 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jonathan M. MatterJohannesburg, South Africa125 contributionsWe signed up for the brown, 8.7km trail walk. Unfortunately we got terribly lost as we followed the "house sign" & not the "running man sign". As we enjoyed the besutiful scenary the view, the nature & the quiteness among the sugarcane plantages we realized after a bit more thsn 10km that we would not make it back to base camp before the heavy rain would start. Called the camp & they sent someone to pick us up & bring us back. Very great day. Pleasant experience.Written 6 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

We had a personal guided tour through the exhibit which is a work in progress. It was super interesting and informative and their passion for snakes and other reptiles is inspiring.Written 10 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Breena BGreater Johannesburg, South Africa6 contributionsVery convenient easy access to this beach directly infront of several blocks of apartments in Ballito.
Only problem is that whilst we were there, there were many many people allowed to drink alcohol on this beach. They often left the beer bottles and other rubbish on the beach towards the end of the day.
The lifesavers do a great job.Written 5 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Philip SnymanPretoria, South Africa66 contributionsThis is still one of those small family holiday villages where you can still hear the roaring sea at your doorstep and where you are one of only a few visitors in the area. Still a little undisturbed gem. Walking for kilometers on the beach is still possible. A nice tidal swimming pool is available and a well-known restaurant for curries. The airport is near and surrounding towns have facilities to buy food and groceries. Lovely holiday resort.Written 19 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- garth007Ballito, South Africa194 contributionsGreat but room for improvement. I simply love my early morning walk along the promenade and I certainly would not miss the daily views of the ocean. And if you are fortunate you will see the dolphins and even whales at certain time of the year. But I feel that joggers should run on the road as the promenade is just not wide enough for the joggers to run . They are "compelled" not to stop running so the more mature walkers have to simply get out of the way.Written 18 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jesh1london49 contributionsI stayed here for my birthday as a treat. We booked a suite which was very beautiful. Rooms are large but you can hear your neighbour in the toilet and everything that goes on in adjoining suite.Very beautiful but restaurant service incredibly slow. There was no water in the little tributaries. It felt a little claustrophobic facing a wall of trees. Overall, nice getaway to just relax and read.Written 26 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
