What travellers are saying
- ArdentTravellerBengaluru, India181 contributionsIt's a regular colonial style railway station, with Mahatma Gandhi's statue and a small museum. But for us from India, this is where he decided to start his fight against injustice, which ultimately led to him spearheading the fight for India's Independence.
There was a fashion shoot (! Yes, a fashion shoot!) the day we visited. The station was empty apart from the models, crew and us.
But as an Indian, it was a must see on my to do list. And no regrets at all.Written 6 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Placed high on the foothill of Hilton, giving you a view of the sleepy hollow. Interesting to spot famous buildings. Great informative visit for the younger generation. Due to the rise of forestry a lot of the view is hampered. Still worth a visit. Scenic and very romantic.Written 23 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AliCatNottingham Road, South Africa12 contributionsShocking shocking shocking to see how this beautiful historical building has been allowed to disintegrate. Not even the clock works anymore. Filth and litter around the building. Inside the building is dirty. The toilets are horrific. The vagrants around the building do not make it a safe place to visit.Written 6 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
