This is a treat for campers .We stayed on a private remote site with rustic private ablutions and a kitchen .The property is large and has animals roaming around .The birds were fantastic with many bird hides to visit .One of the beauties about this property is that one can walk or run on the many dirt roads .The roads are sand but very well maintained .The staff were very friendly and we appreciated the daily clean

Such an amazing experience, well worth visiting! Donald's passion and knowledge for reptiles is exceptional. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the tour! Highly recommend 👌🏻

This was a very fun and informative tour and tasting at the pineapple distillery. We learned how pineapples grow and the process of making gin and brandy from it. Enjoyed the video and the presentation by the owner.

Spent a few days at Nguni lodge which forms part of Kuleni Game Park, where there are 17 private lodges. We enjoyed several walks in this game park where we saw several buck, a few warthogs, and guinea fowls. The weather during our stay was not very good, with plenty of rain, so we saw very little other game.

Cold beer, generous portions of good food, space for the kids to play, and a great selection of curios in the shop.

This really is the ultimate holiday/conservation experience. It exceeded our expectations every day on every level; from our friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable hosts to the delights of waking up every morning in beautiful Bonamanzi surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature - a true assault on the senses!
This is not your average safari. Every day we were looked after, educated and entertained by Allie, Junior and Elaine.
Being part of a group of six enhanced the experience for us. Friendships were made and we had a real laugh! Trips out for supplies were whenever necessary and we also made good use of the Ngweni Railroad Brewery in town for lunch and cocktails.
As lovers of nature and passionate conservationists we were blown away with Allie’s knowledge of the flora, fauna and biodiversity of Bonamanzi with its Sand Forests, Savannah and Wetland - something for everyone.
It was a privilege to spend time with the K9 Unit and their wonderful dogs on snare patrols which allowed us to experience the bush on foot, seeing everything from a much more intimate perspective. Encountering white rhino at close proximity is something neither of us will ever forget.
To give a broader perspective of KZN we were hosted by a local school and learned about the Zulu culture and their current way of life.
Fabulous day trips were organised to St Lucia where we saw many hippos and crocs, HIP for a more traditional safari, Zulu croc where we learned about crocodiles and snakes and a big cat rehabilitation centre where we sat with cheetah!
Although the days were full and action packed there were plenty of opportunities for buying gifts, refreshments and comfort breaks!
We would wholeheartedly recommend this experience and as Junior told us on arrival, we came as volunteers but left as friends.
