This was the second time we have stayed overnight and the third time we have been on the game drive and definitely want to do it again; and that's really the best recommendation isn't it? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with the game drive as the highlight. The guides were all great and went "above and beyond" to keep the drives interesting. Each has his own particular interests so you get a different perspective each time.

We walked from Ushaka Marine Park along the promenade to South Beach which is very nice and easy for anyone in a wheelchair. The views of the beach were nice.

However, we felt very uncomfortable at the number of locals in large groups sitting on the grass opposite the beach, watching us. In fairness we were not approached by them but the sheer numbers and police presence made us very wary and we did not walk the whole of the mile. In addition we didn't go on the beach until we got back to Ushaka where we felt safer.

We enjoyed the beautiful country-side drive to the area and loved the visit to the reptile park. The restaurant was mediocre at best with poor service and okay food which most of which were "out" on the menu offered.

There are a few things to do if you are not gambling, like watching a movie, eating at a restaurant or just enjoying the beachfront

Had a lovely walk yesterday, did the 9km Red walk which we did in a relaxing 3 hours. The place is the cleanest Nature Conservancy I've visited in the last few weeks in Durban, safe clean and spacious.
The very bottom forest section of the red walk was a bit noisy, but the forest wraith stream was beautiful.

We went for birding, saw a few new ones near the pond, but also got red Duiker, bush buck, and impala, not to mention The Zebra literally standing at the gate on arrival.

Got a day to chill, pack a picnic and head on out ..... well worth the visit. We will go back

Great little market with a diverse number of stalls and second hand book shops

Great for a walk about with family and spend the afternoon.

The food stalls are not too bad and well priced.

Open now after the lockdown and much better for the recent rains as the trees, grass, bushes and shrubs are alive and green – clean and tidy - easy parking inside the gates - pleasant on weekdays for a fresh air stroll – not that much Japanese about it but it is the experience not what it is called that matters.

I had an awesome day at patdee massage theraphy. I'm used to do massage but the one I got from the therapist BUSISWA was exceptional abd outstanding. She did the massage in a different way 🥰. From now on she'll be the one to do me the massage.
I had knots and I went home without any with my body very relaxed.
    Thank you once more

booked for package for 799 for 2. we felt welcomed and appreciated , it was the way they spoke and treated us , we could see they value customers. that felt good to spend our money on people who actually value us. the spa is very well priced , good look and excellent treatments, they have the right combo. one would expect to pay alot more. its a pity I'm not my Durban or i would live here. Highly recommended fellow travelers.

A great day in Hluhluwe. Our guide Sibo was excellent. We were delayed getting off the cruise ship but communication was excellent with a WhatsApp group set up so everyone knew what was happening. Sibo then altered the tour to fit in with what we wanted because of the reduced time available. The actual trip round the park in an open jeep was tremendous with loads of different animals seen.Highly recommended!

We organised a trek in the Drakensberg mountains with Zulu safari. They agreed to give us a personalised service by driving us to the starting point and picking up a few days later at the end of the trek. They were super flexible, helped us to find the supplies we needed and arranged a last minute accommodation for us as ours wasn’t in a safe spot in Durban. Communication though e-mails and WhatsApp was very easy.
We are 100% satisfied and warmly recommend booking trips with them. Plus the manager is sooooo friendly, has thousands of stories to tell and advises to give!

an absolutely amazing experience!! the team is so professional and relaxed and the trip to get to the location at sea itself is very exciting. the pictures and video are so cool and the sharks are a fantastic sight!! this is definitely something you don't want to miss out on if you're in the South Coast. 10/10 experience <33
