This mall is very big infact its MASSIVE. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. The Mall has EVERYTHING you need. Parking is safe although I thought it was little "hidden"( we did not see enough clear indications towards parking all around the mall while looking for parking)

I haven't been to the restaurants but I enjoyed walking around and doing souvenir shopping. For example I got a nice shirt and 2 nice dresses for my grandmother and I.

The Pavilion, like most large malls, has a mix of food, entertainment and various retail outlets. There is usually plenty of parking, there are many exits and entrances so there are seldom long queues to pay for parking before you leave.

If you have a pram/trolley/wheelchair the lifts can get busy, especially for some reason, the ones at centre court, so perhaps plan your route around to avoid those ones.

The one thing that is lacking is a bookshop. After a lull as people turned to e-readers, there is a big move back to 'real' books, and this mall has no bookshop. It has a CNA but CNA, like Boardmans, has lost its direction and identity and whilst it used to be a place to buy books it isn't any longer. It has a few, many are well-thumbed and yellowing. There is more at domestic departures at King Shaka.

So if you are looking to spend a few hours shopping and maybe having a bite to eat, the Pavilion is a great option, if you are looking to buy something to read for yourself or as a gift, you'll have to choose somewhere else.

Ever since Cafe Mayfair Westville came there, I have visited this centre. Manolis is there which is a win, also the crazy store, pnp and even somewhere to wax.

I love this centre cause of the convenience of having a pick n pay and a builders wharehouse in one centre. Always clean and safe. A helpful tip, it’s better to park on the roof.

I was there today. It's still rough around the edges.

But everyone, from the guy who cooked my burger, ( an absolutely delicious, firm, big pattied, bacon and cheese burger), through all the very friendly, (to the point of being overly attentive), floor staff I met; to the restaurant manager, (a young, smart, eager, attentive guy), to the senior management who were on site today, made it very clear that they were foccused on using the first 3 months to fine tune the cafe's offerings.

I like that: evaluate and then provide what people actually want.

That isn't to say their various menus, (breakfast, "bambino", a bar, and full menu), aren't full of great options, (there certainly are), just that they accept that being fixed and rigid isn't the way to run a successfull restaurant, especially when entering a new market.

There are several small things that aren't in place yet, a liquor license for one, a dedicated kiddies area for another, and a couple of small little cosmetic things, like plug and charger points, wifi, things like that.

But most of these will be dealt with quickly.

They've done things like employ, (many), security guards stationed both in the venue, and around the centre, they've installed (massive) lights in the parking lot, they've arranged for their security guards to escort their patrons to their vehicles at night, they've made transport plans for their staff, they've met with the various police services to ensure plans are in place for any situations.

So, really nice food, a dynamic, pro active staff and management, and lots of resources to improve the venue.

I'm actually looking forward to having this option around.

This is the place to visit if you specifically need something - the shops are arranged around a spacious large central large car park - there is good a variety shops but the attraction for me is a number of brand name factory outlets and a sports shop where you can pick up bargains at times.
