I was very emotional to visit the property , it’s very worth it to see it with your own eyes . It’s quiet small so it’s goes very quick .

Lesser known than the Apartheid Museum but what a must visit memorial. It's still hard to get our head around these events happening in our lifetime. This museum is an eye opener to the 1976 uprising & makes you shake your head that children were victims of such events. Definitely worth the visit.

While I was still in the car the dancers outside Mandela’s house had formed some type of human pyramid but my guide had already warned me that if you look at them they will want money so I had to get out of the car with my eyes averted to walk to the museum. I know they don’t mean any harm but they are too in-your-face and you wouldn’t be game to walk around. I would have liked to look at the souvenirs on sale but again, I know how pushy the vendors are.

We had the honor of hearing the story of the events leading up to and the experience of Hector Pieterson's sister on the day she participated as a young student and how her younger brother and so many other students lost their lives in what was supposed to be a peaceful demonstration. I will never forget this day.

When we visited, we were fortunate to have an older gentleman show us around the church and share many interesting stories of what happened here and name off a number of famous people (such as US presidents) that had visited. He also explained the background behind numerous panels of the stained glass that we would have never known about without his knowledge.

Visitor from the UK. Arrived here after tour of soweto to do the SCAD freefall. Was myself and 12 year old daughter.
No queue and straight onto freefall which was alot higher than expected!!
Daughter then wanted to do bungee so we both did. Wouldn't be allowed in UK at her age but all good here! Again staff were great booking and sorting it and the jump staff were great. They thankfully make it a very quick jump from the moment they strap you up and guide you over the edge!
Also paid for video and photos which all came through on WA quickly. Great venue, hope more people discover and use it.

Our bike tour with Lebo's Soweto Backpackers was a fantastic experience and an absolute must for anyone who wants to truly get to know Soweto. From the start, we were warmly welcomed by our guide Sia, who was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about Soweto's history and culture.

The tour itself was well-organized and gave us the chance to explore Soweto in a unique way. We cycled through various neighborhoods and gained deep insights into both the challenges and successes of the community. Our guide shared vivid stories and explanations, making the tour highly engaging.

What makes this bike tour so special is the genuine connection you feel with the local community and the firsthand experience of the area's history. Visiting landmarks like Nelson Mandela's house and the Hector Pieterson Memorial was both emotional and inspiring.

The bikes were in good condition, and the route was accessible for people of all fitness levels. The pace of the tour was relaxed, and we had plenty of time to take pictures and ask questions.

In short, the bike tour with Lebo's Soweto Backpackers was one of the highlights of our visit. If you want to experience Soweto beyond the usual tourist spots, this tour is a must!

    **Pros:**
    - Very knowledgeable and friendly guide
    - Deep insight into Soweto's history
    - Unique way to explore the neighborhood
    - Suitable for all levels of cyclists

Such an incredible experience and amazing day out. A very informative and in-depth tour of such a misunderstood area. The people were super friendly and the whole experience was made all the more exceptional with our super talented guide Linda. Thanks again!

Went on a full day tour of Johannesburg and Soweto with Peter. Communications were good and Peter arrived to pick us up from our hotel right on time. Peter was so knowledgeable, having run his own travel business for many years. After touring the main sights and seeing several differing districts of Joburg it was off to Soweto. We had lunch at a local restaurant before going on to see Nelson Mandelas house on other sights in the township. Peter was so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble to him.

My Wife, Daughter and I did the Full Day Soweto/Aparteid Museum tour with Simon. It was an educationally great tour. Simon who was born and raised and currently resides in Soweto gave us an inside perspective of his home and the history of the area. We were picked up at our hotel in a van and really think this is the way to see it with a local guide rather than some of the big bus tours we saw along the way. It's a must do tour in Johannesburg and I highly recommend Simon from Mosikare tours

I only had few hours in Johannesburg as it was only for transit and Maluse put together a fantastic tour in Soweto (+Constitution Hill) where I managed to see multiple aspects of the culture in Soweto, with no rush.
Maluse knows a lot about Soweto and can answer every questions. He showed me hidden parts and great spots. He is very friendly and extremely professional. He made me take advantage of his network, so I could have specialised guide at some places and everything was included in the price, so I did not have to worry about anything. I highly recommend this tour agency, it is the garanty that you will learn a lot while meeting a very friendly guide.

We liked the walking trip a lot. Our guide Caroline was very informative and we felt really welcomed by the people of Soweto. The communication with Cedric was also perfect and Cedric patiently waited when we had a delay on our way to the meeting point. Happy to recommend to everyone who does not mind some serious walking.

Best combination of tourist and detours events you can have with knowledgable, very attentive guide. Good service being available at 9am when calling at 7.30am. Just the bike could have been better.

Our guide gave us the best introduction about Soweto and experience of Soweto. She always listen to our wishes and shared her large knowledge and love for her hood and the very welcoming and friendly people with us in the best way I could image.
I will always recommend everyone the combined walking and driving tour with her, as it gives time to meet and feel the atmosphere. Please eat lunch there, food is lovely.
My family was completely impressed with your professionalism and customer service.
