The park is so nice and big with a large variety of crocodiles, an alligator and Iguanas out there. Inside there are snakes, spiders and baby crocodiles that he allows you to hold and touch.
Definitely a place to visit.
The curio shop sells crocodile items such as biltong, pate, fridge magnets and ornaments.
There is also a restaurant and snack area.Written 22 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Covid has hit them hard and they were definitely closed for a couple of years. I get the feeling they are trying to get back on their feet and maybe taken the opportunity to update some displays.
We were shown specific things and didn't really get the chance to look at everything however what we learned was very informative and I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. Our guide was friendly and informative
Would be a great place for schools to visit.Written 18 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The setting is quite relaxing with live bands/DJs/ open air bars and picnic style seating.
There is a 10 rand fee to enter and the place gets quite crowded during the weekends.
Definetely a fun afternoon out with family and friends.Written 19 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrew BLincoln, UK12 153 contributionsThis was my second visit within a year to watch Test cricket here. - this time for SA v England As before I stayed at the nearby Protea Wanderers Hotel which is a c 10 minute walk through the Wanderers Club grounds to the stadium.
By British standards the tickets are incredibly cheap R700 in total for the first four days - say £40, for great view seats in the shade in the Unity pavilion - not a pavilion in reality. On the fourth day for flexibility I bought tickets for the grassy bank (£5) and the wooden stand - £3 albeit the latter would easily fail a UK Health and Safety check.
This is an iconic cricket stadium with a great atmosphere and you really only appreciate the aura of the ground when you are actually on the playing surface. There are excellent eating facilities all around the ground, usually at the back of the stands and toilets are good and well maintained. Plenty of bars open although they do tend to sell Castle lager but it does seem to keep the locals in good spirits.
From my experience there are few Test grounds in the world where you can lie on the grass and watch a Test match in action. Although this ground is not Newlands, the SCG or Lords it is easy to get to from the UK ( no connecting flights needed) and there are good hotels in walking distance.
Well worth a visit even if England aren't playing.Written 16 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stuart CBournemouth, UK4 111 contributionsThis is a well established mall with many designed and standard shops. Feels very safe with lots of security around. - Michelle R1 contributionWhen you walk through the doors at Art Eye Gallery it feels like stepping through time and space. The upmarket, open plan gallery has the look and feel of something out of the movies, but is 100% grounded in its South African roots. Expect a warm welcome from Ty and Nonhlanhla & an excellent cup of coffee whilst they leave you to simply enjoy the experience and find whatever piece speaks to you most. And there are so many wonderful pieces to look at, with something new to see each time, a true display of the talent this country has to offer.
Excellent service at all times, including professional advice on framing. An absolute must if you are looking for contemporary African art. Can’t wait for my next visit.Written 14 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
