From being greeted at the departure lounge with sparkling wine and canapés, and being waved off by Rohan Vos, we had a wonderful 3 nights on board from Cape Town to Pretoria. Yes, the carriages were noisy at night, but that is to be expected from vintage trains running on badly maintained tracks. Mr Vos wants you to have the most luxurious train journey, and that is what he delivers. Attention to detail is apparent. The food quality is excellent and plentiful. You will not go hungry, and there is wine flowing and lots of drinks options, so you will not be disappointed. The sleeping accommodation is a bit cramped, but there is plenty of clever storage space. We were in a Pullman carriage, so our bed was made up each night and folded away into a couch for daytime. But you don't need to spend your days locked away in your carriage when there are nice lounge areas to sit. No, there is not much to see except the landscape, but it is a nice relaxing way to travel. We were again greeted at the Rovis Rail station in Pretoria by Mr Vos and given a guided tour of his works of which he is very proud and rightly so.

a visit to the house is very interesting, but the displays at the rear were even more interesting as the related to the Boer war seen from a different view to the British one

I had the privilage to be at the Spa on Saturday and when we got there, we had a wonderful breakfast, the staff sang to us and then we received 2 treatments from the nicest therapists. I had a full body massage and a leg and foot massage. The surroundings are so beautiful and peacefull. The owner and manager are both lovely people and so friendly. I’ll just have to go back on another occasion for some more…

We are frequent visitors to the theater and akways have a very good time. The seating is comfotable and the stage is visible no matter where you sit. The shows are normally of a high standard and is great for a outing with friends or family or even only a couple. The bar is well stocked and there are a number of good restaurants in walking distance to have a lunch or dinner before or after the show. The personn is friendly and the sound in the theater is excellent

Great space to visit for an afternoon out with the family.

The place is very well kept and maintained.

All exhibitions are in great order and the entrance fee is very reasonable.

The Blue Train is an iconic piece of South Africa’s patrimony and a lovely elegant way to leisurely travel between Pretoria and Cape Town. The food is overall quite good, the wines well-paired to your meal choices and the service is efficient if perfunctory. The cabins are truly clever in combining old-style luxury into a small space: the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom ( we had a tub, no shower) was sufficiently large to actually take a bath while watching beautiful countryside slip passed. The TV was superfluous - far better had it shown a real time map of the train’s progress or be replaced with additional storage. The various lounge cars were beautifully appointed areas where bar service was wonderful and friendly. Due ti circumstances not always under the company’s control, the train schedule can be hit-or-miss with quirky work-arounds such speeding up at night to catch-up lost time which does affect the quality of sleep since it can be quite noisy chugging along at higher than normal speeds (bring earplugs just in case).

I love this square and enjoy shopping and relaxing here. However, sometimes the toilets are not regularly cleansed. They are smelly and looks like they are not taken care of. Specifically the ones next to clicks behind Kauai.

The mall has a variety of shops and restaurants and also a cinema and ice rink for children.Shopping is easy with ample parking. Parking is available at 4 entrances to the mall so very little if at all, congestion at the exit gates. Take note that building is currently taking place on the south east side of the mall.

This small but concentrated overview of objects in the museum's permanent collection is interesting and revelatory of the cultural history of this country from early 20th century forward. This current exhibit expresses the vitality of the contemporary art scene with many mediums represented. The facility though is in great disrepair with much updating and attention to conventional amenities like lighting, structural integrity, parking, signage. A single caretaker/reception person could only take cash for the small admission price and even then had no change. There is no museum shop or catalog.

The art was beautiful and inspiring, BUT the food was outstanding. The attention to detail on the plates did not go unnoticed. The spinach pie was delicious and the apple danish ended the meal on the right note. I highly recommend this gem.

The Brooklyn Mall is a well planned and designed space. I walked around finding all the shops I was looking for with ease. This made my experience pleasant and enjoyable. The shop attendants were friendly and helpful. Time flew by and a good day was had with a great choice to have a light meal. Well worth a visit.

This theatre is smallish, a lovely experience during shows as the stage is close regardless where you sit

There's a balcony as well as seats on the ground floor. It's an informal theatre and you can enjoy drinks during the show

The restaurant on the premises offer food if you want to eat before the show

    A lovely experience
