- Deborah G2 contributionsWe were picked up early in the morning at our hotel by a wonderful guide, Norman. The trip was extremely pleasant, Norman is a wealth of knowledge! He went out of his way to make sure we got the most out of our visit, even treating us to an extra visit with the Meerkats, one of my favorite animals! He even stopped off at a grocery store for us on the way back to our hotel!
We learned a lot about South Africa from Norman and visiting the sanctuary was a dream come true for me. There really are no words to describe the feeling that overcame me upon interacting with the elephants. I was so thrilled to see these majestic creatures being so cared for, knowing they had been rescued.
It was also so heart-warming to see monkeys who had been kept as pets and working animals having the chance to live almost normal lives in a natural environment.

- Jasper WLondon, UK18 contributionsIt was excellent. We were able to see a lot of animals (rhinos, elephants, lions, etc). Because of poaching, it has meant that a few things have been altered, but all has been done for the good of the animals. Thabo was an excellent guide. Really knowledgeable and friendly. Made the tour even better. I only had one afternoon free in Johannesburg, so being able to fit this in was great. - Brandon7 contributionsWonderful Safari if you are short on time. Our driver “Rasta” was excellent and fun. The safari was fantastic in that we were able to see most of the largest animals including hippo and rhino in about 3 hours. We were also taken to an amazing restaurant (not included in ticket price) after for an incredible lunch just minutes away at a house ranch. I booked very last minute and Shade & Darren arranged everything as promised. Park was close by so not to much time on the road to get there. Had a nice walk and enjoyed the sights & smells of the trail.
The trail itself was easy going with some sections being slightly more challenging than others. Would definitely recommend this to others. much better than sitting in a safari truck all day!

First let me say that Anton made this overall tour such a memorable experience for my friend and I ! He was very knowledgeable about South Africa as a whole, and brought passion for the entire 8 hours. We originally were supposed to be at the park for the whole day, but were notified when we got there that the park would be closed at 1pm that day leaving us with a few hours to see the animals. Anton immediately suggested another solution and added to drive us to see the Sterkfontein Caves right after ! We got a chance to see all the beautiful animals the safari had to offer, have a delicious lunch with our tour guide Anton, and to end the day seeing the underground caves! I would give Anton 10 out of 10 stars for his professionalism, his expertise with his knowledge of the safari animals, and just being a great person and providing laughs for my friend and I during the time we spent with him. Norman, my tour guide was great and knowledgeable . He ensured i was okay and safe all the way through the tour. He was nice,polite and always ready to lend a helping hand. I would use him again for my next tour . I would recommend the safari cars at Pilanesberg National Park is used for the wildlife experience. He has incredible knowledge about animals and nature in the region. He even gave us details about the history of the country throughout the drive to the lodge. At the end of the second day Patric dropped us off at the Jo'burg airport. He asked if I had any local money left to pay a porter, and then gave me 20 Rand. Norman was our guide for the day and he shared fantasic insights in the history of the city and the whole country. In Swaziland we were able to upgrade from camping to log cabin dorms for just 15rand a night. On the final night we were in permanent tents with beds and linen.
All locations had excellent communal facilities.
There was lots of meals included and catered for vegetarians and gluton free too. The food was very very good. Jack was our guide and a fabulous guide and chef!
Lots of included activities and everything was arranged perfectly.

Day 2 - Johannesburg suburbs, Constitutional Court and Prison Museum then Apartheid Museum (no time for Soweto, sadly, but we have visited Kailisha near Cape Town)
Linda our guide was really excellent - knowledgable, perceptive, supremely articulate and very sensititive to our needs. Linda picked us up and dropped us off at our Hotel in Sandton.
Pretoria delightfully small and intimate. Voortreker the highlight.
Johannesburg - big gritty city, with the contrast between poor and smart quarters just 1km apart stark.
