Anton was great! He picked us up from our hotel at 4:30 AM and gave us some background about South Africa on the two hour drive to the park. He also planned a coffee stop which was needed!!

He helped us spot animals and drove to locations after hearing the types of animals we really wanted to see. The three of us asked many questions but he was always happy to answer all questions!

Definitely recommend this tour and using a private tour for an adventure like this!

We had a very interesting drive out of Joburg to Pretoria. Nice just to see some countryside too. The Voortrekker Monument was worth seeing although the Afrikaaners staffing it did not seem like a happy bunch. After bring greeted with effusive welcoming smiles by so many South African people, white and colored up to then, it wS strange to see a group of folk who didn't smile at all, sad really. The Government building wS also something to see and the town square. Only rather boring stop was Paul Krugers' old home but that might be because we've seen so many pioneer type homes in other countries that they all look similar.

To begin, our very experienced and amiable guide (MARVIN) picked us from our hotel promptly and took us to the Lions Park for the 2 hour open vehicle tour of the park, an amazing experience at the park.
Next we went to the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria- a lot of history of South Africa there. We also visited the Paul Kruger house and Union building.

I made 2 trips with Solly in October, 2022! Very well organized. I visited Pretoria and also the Cradle of Civillization. Both places deserved the visit! So do not hesitate to contact the company if you have some free time in Johannesburg!

To start, Steve picked us up from my hotel and provided me with some snacks and a drink. Steven is very professional and attentive in his job with his clients. It was an unforgettable encounter during my stay in Johannesburg and Pretoria where he guided me and showed me around during these two full days. He is simply brilliant!
Everything was organized and scheduled. At my request He was friendly and very good at explaining all the details and history you need to know for Johannesburg and Pretoria during the two day tour. Driving through the heart of Joburg and Pretoria was amazing. The car was very comfortable, including the water bottles and the air conditioning!
These two day trips are highly recommended to all with Steven who is the best guide I have met during my many visits to Joburg he will remain my guide at each visit.

Review of: Pretoria and the Elephant Sanctuary and Johannesburg Exclusive Guided Day Tour in Magnificent VIP
By dint of knowing us both over the days, we have become friends. He provided me with information about places to visit beforehand so I knew where and what I was going to visit, and he showed me places off the tourist trail, I saved the best for the real experience. I will renew with him in a next trip very soon for 15 days with him in VIP for Kruger and Kwazulu Natal

I liked the forestrated landscape a lot! The route had two faces - first part through denser forest, and second part took us through the landscapes with wider views and brought us closer to the river. The single track is varied, it was an active experience for the whole body. Shane is a great guide that can adjust the activity to one's fitness, and with many experiences and insights into local life and culture - we had great discussions along the way!

I was the only attendant for this tour and I really appreciated that it took place and didn't got canceled.
Apartheid museum was unfortunately closed but they showed me the constitutional court instead.
It was a great tour overall, and you got to know a lot about the history of this country as well as were shown the most important places.
    Highly recommend

Be sure to add this activity to your list when visiting Pretoria! The scenery was beautiful and being so close to the wildlife was an unforgettable experience. Bill and Muneiwa were knowledgeable guides giving pieces of history as well as facts about the wildlife. They went above and beyond making sure our group had water, hydrating drinks and snacks to keep us going on the 3 hour trek.

I really enjoyed the Pretoria tour. I was the only one taking it. My tour guide picked me up and dropped me off from my place. Very punctual, very friendly and very knowledgeable. He showed me beautiful places, talked about history, culture, current situation in South Africa. I learned more on that half day trip than during my 3 weeks I've already been here in SA. I would definitely recommend 😊

I booked the guided hike to Magaliesberg, but we went to Groenkloof, the oldest reserve in the country, which was only 15 minutes away. Almost immediately we came upon a giraffe literally in our path. After that, impala, rooibok, zebra and hundreds of lovely birds. You are within sight and sound of the city but the terrain is authentic bush, and we didn't meet any other hikers.
Shane is a very knowledgeable guide, and lets you go at your own pace.
