He was patient in answering our questions and gave us adequate times at the historical sites. This tour was well worth the price we paid. - Hilary W7 contributionsWe had a wonderful time at the park with our guide Willem, who was so knowledgeable with lots of stories about precious park visits. We were so fortunate to see almost every animal bar the allusive buffalo in their own habitat. My favourite was seeing the leopard up close and hearing her cubs calling. The visit was finished off with a fab lunch at the lodge (portions were huge). I’d definitely recommend this excursion especially with this guide, an absolute pleasure. Don’t hesitate to book. - Holidays Abroaduk697 contributionsShane is an excellent tour guide who was very easy to get on with from the start of our tour. A very interesting chap who is also full of information about the history of Pretoria and the sites.
We would highly recommend this tour as you get to see the highlights of Pretoria (at your pace) including the very interesting Voortrekker monument and the Union building with the impressive Nelson Mandela statue. We had a great day at all of the locations and the best part was Ali’s knowledge and insights both on South African history and on what it’s like to live in South Africa at this time. He really brought the day to life, particularly when we got back to the city. The mine tour was very interesting and Cullinan itself, while small, is quirky and interesting. - Kailie J12 contributionsMy trip to Pilanesberg National Park was absolutely fantastic! My guide, Cecile, was very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. She did an excellent job of providing historical facts about the area as well as interesting facts about the animals we spotted. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and durable enough to navigate the rough terrain of the park. We got really lucky and saw four of the Big Five and also saw copious amounts of other wildlife. I’m so glad I booked this excursion and would absolutely book with Ulysses and Cecile again in the future. Ben picked us up at Johannesburg and spent with us half a day in Pretoria. We learnt lots of new information about the city and loved it a lot. Lucky was an excellent guide. He knew his subject, was very happy to answer all of our questions, and was thoroughly good-humoured. A very thought-provoking tour, enhanced by Lucky. - Di B1 contributionI loved this trip. I have never been on an e bike and am 73 years old but I managed fine. It was interesting and we saw a large selection of animals. My wife and I had an amazing time with you. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable and the food is amazing.
We did the early morning horseback safari and in all my life I have never experienced anything like it. You get so close to the game that it feels like you can reach out and touch the animals.
We stayed in the Bushmans cottage and what an amazing experience indeed. At night one experiences the peacefulness of the bush and you awake in the mornings to the game and horses grazing close by.
The lion and serval interaction is one of those experiences that really puts you in touch with some of our big cats. Taking a walk in the veld with the lion cubs is certainly a unique experience.
For such a short drive from the East Rand, it certainly does make one feel that you are in the heart of the bush. And for a nature lover like myself, I cannot ask for more.
If you are looking for a unique getaway with amazing experiences, this most certainly should be at the top of your list.
