These gardens on the other side of Table Mountain from the main city of CapeTown are well worth a visit. Perfect for walking, picnicing and getting out in nature they are lush and green compared to the more arid other side of the mountain. Well worth it for a peaceful morning or afternoon.

We visited Newlands for an England v South Africa match and had a fantastic afternoon... and the view was just incredible!
Watching England at Newlands has been on my 'bucket list' for years so last year, we booked tickets and had a mini break in Claremont (20mins walk from the ground). We decided to upgrade to a shared box and despite the facilities being basic, thought the extra was money well spent for the meal, view and extra protection from the searing heat (it was 33°).
We arrived as early as we could and were only the 3rd group in the box which holds around 20, decided where to sit (I seem to recall we could sit anywhere so chose the frow) and went inside to get a drink. All drinks (alcoholic and non) were included as was a 3 course meal of buffet style hams, samosa style snacks (which were amazing), cheese, fruits etc, a choice of 2 or 3 full on hot meals and lovely chocolate cake. Although seating inside the box was limited, there was plenty outside.
As mentioned, the facilities are quite basic and the toilets are on alternate levels, so we had to go up a level to use the toilets, but everything was clean (the toilets were cleaned after each use) and tidy and the staff were excellent.
The game we watched was very close, and the atmosphere in the ground and amongst our fellow fans - both Brits and South Africans - was superb. It ran over time and watching the sun set over the extraordinarily beautiful view was amazing. Definitely worth a visit, and if you can afford to, upgrade to a box for something a little special without losing the atmosphere.

I really love this forest. The walk is really stunning and very easy to reach by uber/car as you practically can acces the path straight. During the day -and especially weekends- there are many people around so its great to walk then! The forest path is a bit hilly, but absolutely nice with the high trees, the waterfall at the end and the amazing serenity, you almost forget that you are in Cape Town as it feels such a different place. Take note that hiking together is much more apricated in terms of the safety conditions, also take your own drinks and food as well.

I booked the visit for my husband and we both really enjoyed the experience.
Very well organised throughout , from booking , being issued with a car parking pass , to the tour and beer tasting and of course the pub ! Would definitely recommend.

Glad I had the chance to watch a match at this iconic stadium. Stormers won and Jamie Roberts got his first try. It seems from reports that this stadium is going to be scrapped, that would be a shame. I have seen this done in Wales(Stradey Park), It does not seem to have the same atmosphere at Parc y Scarlets.

This is ground that I've wanted to visit since I first started watching cricket. It is quite simply spectacular and I'm not sure that the TV does it justice.

We booked ourselves into the Presidents Lounge and had a spectacular panoramic view of the stadium from our seats. The bar was well stocked and the food was very tasty. I would definitely recommend booking into one of the lounges if you can. You can still take a walk around the whole ground and take in the beautiful view of Table Mountain.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll under the trees to get your fresh greens, coffee and delicious honey- all while your car is being washed. Or enjoy a breakfast at one of the restaurants.
    Parking limited.

One can meander this leafy trail for ages, but don't go solo. It's a blessing on hot days to stroll in the shade with the bubbling brook.

Amazing space and excellent exhibition opening. Chris is a knowledgeable figure in the art world and selects all the art himself. The gallery is highly regarded and very active on the international circuit. He looks for artists with great potential and then helps them realise this potential and develop into international stars. Highly recommended and worth a visit. It's in the leafy quaint village of Newlands surrounded by high class shops and restaurants. Very safe area for international visitors.

The booking of the tour was easy and hassle free and our tour guide is one of the best I ever met, Dion Fabe is witty and very knowledgeable not just about history but also about all the wild life we saw, he was able to give us very detailed history of the places we were at and bring us to very scenic places for photoshoots! I wish I had more time and booked a longer tour! Thank you so much for the memorable tour!
