- SzentaValencia, Spain44 contributionsBy all means visit Soweto and challenge old stereotypes. Recommend the excellent Mandy Imbizo Tours, run by a local.Written 8 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kamini RLondon, UK28 contributionsFelt very fortunate to be able to visit this house at short notice. Emailed the owner on the same day ( you normally need to book in advance) and she said I could come that afternoon. Katharine is the owner of the home and lives there, her knowledge of the time is incredibly wide , I learnt so much. The house is beautifully maintained and an absolute treasure trove of Victorian artefacts.Written 26 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tim M22 contributionsVisitor from the UK. Arrived here after tour of soweto to do the SCAD freefall. Was myself and 12 year old daughter.
No queue and straight onto freefall which was alot higher than expected!!
Daughter then wanted to do bungee so we both did. Wouldn't be allowed in UK at her age but all good here! Again staff were great booking and sorting it and the jump staff were great. They thankfully make it a very quick jump from the moment they strap you up and guide you over the edge!
Also paid for video and photos which all came through on WA quickly. Great venue, hope more people discover and use it.Written 11 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richard HStockholm, Sweden5 contributionsWe spent four days (three nights) at the Kruger Shalati Train on the Bridge which included six safari drives (three in the morning and three in the afternnnon) into the Kruger National Park. Everything was very well organized and all communication with Go Safari before the trip was excellent, providing answers, tips and solutions to our various questions.
The hotel was excellent, with plenty of opportunities to see the wild animals directly from the hotel (on the old railway bridge). The staff and the food was simply amazing and the safari drives were exceptional. We were never more than six people (and our guide) in a car and on two occasions it was just the two of us with our guide which made it very special.
We observed pretty much every type of animal up close (including the big five of course) with a highly knowledgeable guide and we now have memories to last us a lifetime. We are extremely grateful to Glen and Go Safari for arranging this trip which has met and exceeded all our high expections for a luxury safari. Without a doubt I give my highest recommendations for Go Safari and we will definately use them again, if or when we decide to go on another African safari.Written 27 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Giselle S11 contributionsMy boyfriend and I signed up for this one but ended up doing a 4 day Fangs Pass hike, ending in Mnweni. It was insane in the best way. The hike was as brutal as the scenery was beautiful. Don't underestimate these hikes, when they say they're hard they really mean it. That being said it was the coolest experience I've had in a long time and the mountain range is totally wild, remote and stunning!
The equipment we rented from them was excellent (I got a brand new osprey backpack <3) which all really helped with comfort and keeping things dry. Our guide Patrick was phenomenal! He's great fun and very experienced. He not only made us feel safe the whole time but took care of us during the rainy times, kept our spirits up while keeping expectations realistic, found us a cozy cave on the 3rd night when the weather was rough...
The group of 8 people was so nice, positive and fun, definitely helped when things got hard. It's a great way to meet inspiring people and you get to know each other quite well when in the mountains for 4 days.
Price wise this is much better than other hikes we found, def worth your money.
Patrick takes beautiful pictures during the hike, the food was great (dehydrated meals, ours were all vegan to accommodate different diets within the group), they really respect the nature (you bring all your trash with you including compost).
All in all just be aware of the difficulty but you won't regret anything, 100% recommend.Written 5 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margitta HEssen, Germany1 contributionMy daughter and I did the tandem jump right after our flight from Germany. They have great service - their driver picked us up from the hotel. Although we were 15 mins late for our time slot, they waited for us and all the staff were very friendly and relaxed. They video with a go pro, that costs half of what is usually charged for an extra photographer.
With Pottie and Mila we felt completely safe and they were so nice, it was a bit like meeting old friends again.
The jump of course is so extra special, almost surreal - an experience you never forget.Written 30 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Annette MBrisbane, Australia49 contributionsFrom the moment I contacted SAFARI WITH US to the return journey to Johannesburg I cannot fault the level of service and communication provided. They took the effort to find the vibe of accommodation for the price I wanted to pay …. Rissington Inn… PERFECT!! Although we didn’t pay, and nor did we ever expect, but we had private transfers to and from our hotel in Johannesburg and private veh icles for both days of our safari. Our guide Shadrack was personable, polite and informative making our safari experience beyond expectations! I would not hesitate to book with this company….Written 4 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
