We managed to see 3 of the Big Five. He answered all our questions and stopped for as long as we wanted. He brought us to great places very sightings very notifies from other vehicles. Therefore we saw a lot of variety: elephants, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, a Cheetah, a lion and much more.

From the booking procedure and communication to the pick up and the game drives and activities every day of my trip.
The food was delicious, the guides were terrific, the garden beautiful, the room clean and the overall experience exeeded my expectations. Getting to meet people from allover the world was an exciting plus! - Lonewolf228North Fort Myers, FL40 contributionsWonderful experience. There are only 6 units, 4 were unoccupied so there were only 4 of us. The on site staff are wonderful. Tembe is essentially your private chef. A wonderful cook. She even baked a birthday cake for one of the guests. the Vivia Safari staff are wonderful also. The full day Kruger drivers/guides are knowledgeable. One of the Viva managers checks up with you at night and confirms the next day schedule. This stay is perfect for anyone looking for the ultimate luxury experience in Pilanesberg. I loved being picked up and dropped off and very much enjoyed our time at the Lion and Safari park. He offered tea, coffee , water and biscuits! We had a lovely tour with our guide and we saw giraffes, impalas, ostriches, wildebeest and monkeys! The tour lasted 2 hours and Tim was even there when we took a break and he took some pictures of us! It was a great morning and Tim was very knowledgeable of his country! From my first inquiry, Norman has been very responsive and answered every question, I had asked without hesitation. Kruger is an amazing experience and so was the combination with the beautiful Panorama Route. His team and guides were very good. - Gabrielle W6 contributionsA fabulous day! A pleasant drive out of Johannesburg with a driver, Bobo, who could tell me lots about the villages and mines we passed. At Pilanesberg, it was into an open truck, with 2 others and the animal sightings began almost immediately. A male and female lion beside the road were a thrill as were elephants crossing the road only 2 or 3 meters away and a rhino pooping right beside out truck were amazing. The lunch stop was great, right beside a waterhole with lots of 4 legged visitors and the food was delicious. - ThomasBruges, Belgium14 contributionsTogether with 6 friends we had a great experience around Kruger. The guides where very helpful and did everything they could to make the trip worthwhile. The camping area was very nice and the food in the evening was amazing, they made traditional food and always ate untill we were full.
The guides and people from the campsite where always very friendly nice to be around. It was always nice to have a good laugh with them and learn from what they had to say.

Our safari guide helped us spot animals from far away. The experience wouldn't have been the same without him. Even on the drive back, Isaac the driver generously shared many stories of his life that helped me get a deeper insight into his country and culture. We had to get up very early for three days in a roll but in the end it was worth it. - Eric S1 contributionLiterally couldn't have gotten any closer to the lions (on several occasions) and rhinos (the guide had to move the truck when one got a bit too close. We saw three cheetah, spring box, antelope, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, ostrich , and so much more. Great facility and good food options at the restaurant. Well worth the short drive from Johannesburg, but note, this isn't an actual safari but rather a curated drive through several separate, gated compounds that the predators from each other.
