Linda Peinemann - Another tour for my photography group tour from Germany. This tour was also part of our 7-Day Photography Adventure Tour with Raggy Charters. This experienced team not only organizes water safaris but also introduces visitors to the magical wildlife experiences in and around Port Elizabeth.

We had the best time at Shamwari, our ranger Mino ensured we had the best experience possible! It surpassed my expectation and I hope to be back one day so that Mino can show me more. We also enjoyed the best food and beautiful accomodation. We could not have asked for more!!

Steep uphill over a dune reveals this gorgeous gem of a beach nestled between sandbanks. Peaceful, safe and beautiful.

We always stop here for a quick bite on our way to and from Plettenberg Bay. The bathroom facilities are always kept very clean. There is plenty of choice for a quick snack before continuing on a journey.

We visited in January for the third test match between South Africa and England and overall the experience was a positive one. The view from the Duckpond End is terrific. Facilities are OK and queues for food and drink reasonable. It could be a different story for a busier event. There is also a bit of a mad scramble for ubers after play has finished.

On my recent visit to South Africa, Port Elizabeth stood out to me as a town where art, and street art particularly, was being promoted and invested in. How wonderful, and The Donkin is a high point here. Great outdoor installations and sculpture, and what a setting with fab views over the city. Worth popping down for a look around.

Rooms were very nice and game drives were worth it. Games room can be updated with new equipment. Halaal and vegetarian food available but can be improved in standard. Prayer facilities available which is convenient for Muslim clients.

Spacious room and great facilities. The Spa and indoor pool are fantastic. Breakfasts are real value for money. Employees are extremely friendly.

The facilities here are quite run down and need a bit of modernising. The lions and tigers did look well kept though, but the enclosures are very small.
The "restaurant" was awful!there was a couple walking near the lion enclosure with their 2 dogs? I thought this most dangerous and irresponsible

It was quiet when we went. We got a full tour and lots of time close up to see the penguins and our guide was new but very knowledgeable! Lovely place and cool museum. Would recommend for rainy day or budget visit too!

My kids love Holmeleigh Farmyard, we've been many times and it never gets old. The toasted sandwiches are always a hit.

On arrival we were treated rather poorly. Granted we came in the afternoon, there was no need to be rude. We arrived an hour and a half before closing time and were practically chased out. Luckily we persuaded the people behind the counter to let us in for a little while.
The animal enclosures were a bit small for the amount of animals present but it was amazing to see the animals up close. I would recommend more space for the animals to roam though.
Other than that, it was lovely to see the Penguins, Seals and Sea Turtles.

There is also a museum with a wide variety of historical exhibits. It was a pleasant surprise since we were expecting more marine life. But it was still very enjoyable.
It was just a shame we were so rushed.
I would recommend going in the early morning when they open, to avoid squabbles and to enjoy the park to the fullest.
