- Denver BrightEast London, South Africa4 contributionsA spur of the moment decision on a visit to Mermaid's Pool at Nahoon Beach for my family turned into a really fantastic, relaxing and enjoyable experience.
The water was ice-cold, but that did nothing to stop my 8 yr old daughter from swimming in the pool and even trying her hand at snorkelling to look for some fish (not much).
My 2 yr old son chose to stay away from the "big water" and spent his time looking for shells and pebbles on the beautiful but small beach area.
You feel safe in this area, the parking area is within eye-site of where you play and The Reef Café is just up the hill from you.
There are scenic boardwalks (a little damaged in areas due to age) that let you see some magnificent views and also take you over the hills into the Nahoon Point Nature Reserve on the one side and back to Nahoon Beach proper on the other side.
All in all, it was a fun few hours, sheltered from the wind and myself and family really enjoyed itWritten 16 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - cemre_birandIstanbul107 contributionsA well-kept mall with lots of shops and food oppurtunities.Though a bit far,the cruise ships provide shuttle servicesWritten 5 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RMareeSun City, South Africa1 contributionWe really enjoyed our visit to the museum with two boys aged 6 and 3. I did however have hayfever when we walked out. The museum cleanera needs to step up and do their work thoroughly!Written 31 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Adrian1 contributionThe staff is amazing, the marine fish section is beautiful but has deteriorated over the years compared to when I was a child! But still an amazing place with cute penguins and intelligent seals, had a blast with the fam. Got to feed the penguins aswellsWritten 28 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lyndsey p1 contributionIt really was a wet and windy day today, but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and rounded it off with a pint at the pub by the fire. Owner couldn’t have been more welcoming and took time out to talk to the little ones about the snakes and lizards.Written 15 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rinx08East London, South Africa7 contributionsWe went for a family outing to the Lion Park in East London on Sunday 8 September 2019.
There wasn't too much to see, however the animals looked healthy and well cared for.
Some maintenance is required at the playground and seating area.
Overall it wasn't a bad experience, next time we will make a day out of it and have a family braai. The best time to go is on a Sunday around feeding time at 12:30, because then you will get to see the Lions and Tigers.Written 12 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
