- 608terryoPort Elizabeth, South Africa33 contributionsWe all hate to go from shop to shop or visit huge centres that you have to walk from one side to the other to get something to eat. Well Beacon Bay Retail Park is different as it is more of open shopping centre and you can find just what you need. Be it from shopping for groceries or needing appliances from Game, there everything that you need in walking distance of your car. It is also situated close to the freeway so traffic is not a major when you leave (times do change congestion).Written 16 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Anton vLondon, UK128 contributionsIt is my sad duty to inform the general public that due to a listing error, East London has mistakenly been credited an attraction already on the Trip Advisor's "Must-See" list, and, once that entry is disqualified, East London is reduced to boasting just 8 sights pending some suggestions of actual places that I have submitted for consideration.
It seems the Craft Gallery and the Floradale Centre are really the same place, and the voting pattern for both these venues shows some rather curious patterns which I leave readers to uncover for themselves !!!
The Craft Gallery on the map shows itself on Old Transkei Road, at the top of Beach road (it is on Old Transkei Rd, but miles east from there), The Floradale Centre's listing conviniently doesn't have a map, but the address given is Old Gonubie Road, which is where the Old Transkei Road goes, but Old Gonubie Road does not exist, so visitors beware, and certainly get local advice prior to taking too much notice of the directions and maps posted on here.
Still it isn't all bad news, with number 6 (or 7) soon disqualified, the much-loved Aquarium get to go up another place in the popularity stakes.
And this venue, call it Floradale or the Craft Centre, deserves an unflattering rating Their role, and I make no suggestion they had one, in getting double placement on the local attractions list plays no part, but for them to have had no idea of what a leading international travel website's reviews said about them frankly beggars belief, or are we to understand that management at one of East London's top independent retailers rarely spend much time online ???Written 6 December 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
