We used Costa Rico Travel by Amanda. Stayed in La Fortuna for 5 days and Tamarindo for 5 days. As it was our first time visiting Costa Rico we didn’t want to rent a car.
Amanda arranged all our shuttles and excursions. Everything was on time and guides were knowledgeable of the areas. Recommend the white water rafting trip class 11 to 111 and the combo tour of 1968 hike, waterfalls and hanging bridges in the Mistico rain forest. Also catamaran trip in Tamarindo. Amanda kept in touch with us daily as to shuttle times and excursions. Would 100% use her again. Pura Vida!!!

Great trip on a cruise excursion doing the Caribbean Train, Boat and Rain forest walk. Had a wonderful tour guide who gave us lots of information. The bus tour gave us a bigger picture of the area showing us the banana plantations and how the farming of the bananas works. Very interesting. The train ride showed us more of the area where we got the chance to see a couple of sloths, and lots of howler monkeys, along beautiful birds. We then went for a boat ride where we got to see more howler monkeys, beautiful birds, even a crocodile sun bathing. The guide had his animal radar on as he would tell us and show us where they were. Great personal skills to make the tour wonderful. After coming back from the boat trip we got a bowl of delicious fresh fruit which was refreshing on a warm day. The guide also shared some roasted chocolate beans and told us where we could find them in the pier area and we got some 2 bags for $8.00. A deal over the tourist places. He also took us on a rain forest walk where we got to see lots of monkeys, flowers, plants and cocoa. Nice walk to see a variety of things. I would highly recommend this tour, they did a great job giving us a good idea of the area of Puerto Limon.

The tour is very early in the morning which may seem uncomfortable on holiday, but it is well worth getting up for. Our guide Luis was great! We stopped at his “secret” beautiful lookout location on the way to Monteverde and were able to see the lush forest around us along with the sea in the distance and many mountains dotting the landscape. Our driver Hairo was very accommodating. He drove so that we could catch ideal views of the setting sun over the sea on the way back. The included lunch was delicious and the restaurant was also very nice and it came after so many activities of the sky bridges and 13 zip lines so it was later in the afternoon. This turned out to be perfect as we returned back at the hotel after dark. Traffic can be a challenge and it turned out best we hired this agency for our visit to Monteverde.

When you visit Costa Rica, please be sure to use this day trip to experience the sheer beauty and incredible hospitality of the country. Luis and Hairo also provided great insight into the many other activities and foods to enjoy while in CR. They were extremely friendly and helpful!

Thank you again for an incredible visit!! Pura Vida!!

La fortuna fall with adrenaline group. The trip was supposed to be a walk in the ecological park but instead we got to spend 5 mins in 2 small rooms with one type of butterflies and just one type of frogs. The guide was full of himself and not good at explaining anything . The waterfall itself was beautiful !!

Melida organized a wonderful trip for my and my daughters, she understood the goal and planned a full weekend of adventures for us. We did white river rafting, catamaran and snorkel trip, a guided tour of Manuel Antonio and enjoyed the Parador hotel from top to bottom. We couldn't have asked for a better time and Melida was extremely detailed and provided all the information needed for every adventure. See you soon!

Boreal River has perfected the 5-day Wilderness First Responder course. Their partnership with Coast to Coast Adventures was excellent. I am a Physician Assistant with 22 years of experience in Emergency and Orthopedic medicine. I learned A TON of practical skills for responding to illness and injury in the wilderness.
The transportation by raft to and from the site was down the beautiful, wildlife-rich Paquare River. We stayed in gorgeous, rustic accomodations and were treated to delicious, nutritious food every day.
This course is a MUST for anyone wanting to guide others in an outdoor environment or just wants to be prepared for anything on their own adventures.

This trip was insanely amazing!! Dr. Tamie Jovanelly lead our university geology department through the complex and beautiful tectonic settings of Costa Rica, planning fun excursions and activities as well as incredible lectures from local scientists. Joey provided awesome vibes, DJ skills, and a high morale to maintain the run on long bus rides (he’s also a trained nurse so I felt very safe asking him questions about injuries and bug bites!!). We traveled to several of the largest volcanoes including Poás, Arenal, and Irazú, as well as to the cloud forest and the beach in Manuel Antonio. Our trip leaders were knowledgeable and professional, but also tons of fun. I am so grateful for the experiences that I’ve gotten to have through this company, I truly can’t say enough good things about them!!! If you are on the fence, book the trip.

My daughters trip is less than a month away and they email today saying they are cutting ties with the girl scouts and won't honor the cookie money that they already excepted about half a year ago. This trip has been planned for a year and they pull this one month before the trip? My daughters plane ticket was $1,200 I rearranged schedules and plans, I spent a ton of money to get all the items on their long packing list and they won't even honor the commitment they made! I will not be able to afford to send her if I'm paying out of pocket with less than one months notice! They offered to still let girls go but only if paying out of pocket and not with GS funds meaning many girls won't be able to go. Outward Bound should be ashamed of themselves.
