- Elizabeth A14 contributionsThis was an amazing experience! We began with viewing a butterfly garden before hiking to the La Fortuna waterfall. Once there, we were able to swim with fish and around the base of the waterfall. We took pictures and stayed a while before heading back to our meeting point and having a delicious pineapple snack. From there, we visited a Maleku (native peoples of Costa Rica) house, were given a fermented apple drink and learned about Maleku history. We heard from both a Maleku elder and our other tour guide Axel who translated what the elder was saying to English so we could understand as well. Axel made us feel very welcome and was very hospitable. From there, we took the tour bus to get closer to the Arenal volcano and began our hike. Eric was very knowledgeable about the different species we saw throughout our hike and we were even lucky enough to see spider monkeys swinging from the trees above! As we made our way closer to the viewing point, Eric continued to tell us about the history of the area and reasoning behind different land formations. After we viewed the volcano and made our way back to the tour bus, we ventured to a hot springs resort where we were able to enjoy pools of many different temperatures and even a waterslide into a hot pool. Both Eric and Axel stayed and watched the tour group's belongings but also made us feel like we were amongst friends as they told and listened to jokes, made conversation and were overall great people. This tour was unforgettable but the tour guides are what really made this experience shine for us. Thank you Eric and Axel!

- lagardejy2018Lexington, MA7 contributionsWe had a fantastic adventure with the team of Roca Canyoning. The tour was extremely safe with 4 guides for our group of 13. The guides were dynamic, caring, funny yet uncompromising on safety. I had done a lot of extreme canyoning in Spain (Sierra de Guara) and France (Basque Country and Pyrenees). This was obviously much easier and very gentle. I could take my 50+ yr old wife who had never rappelled before or jumped in a waterfall and she had a blast, overcoming any fear and truly appreciating the moment. We enjoyed the green lush settings and the nice water temperature. The pick up at our hotel was very convenient, the duration in the canyon perfect. We even purchased the picture set (for an additional $35 fee for our couple) and they were great, capturing the moment and the joy of my beginner wife. Not only were the views amazing but the fresh water river was a truly immersive experience. The fresh island fruit they provide at the end was the cherry on top! - Frances S6 contributionsOmg!!! Everyone should go at least once in their life!!! It’s totally different than seeing animals in the zoo. Our tour guide Wesler is the best! He guided us the most professional way. In total we saw five sloths, numbers of poison frogs, all kinds of birds and so on! Please ask for him if you are coming!

The viewpoint for Arenal Volcano is breathtaking, and the hot springs at Baldi are incredibly soothing. There's also a spa if you’re in the mood for a massage—I tried it, and it was amazing.
The tour bus is spacious and comfortable, and the driver was excellent. It’s the best tour bus driving experience I’ve had in Costa Rica. Nela, the tour guide, is very patient and knowledgeable, making the trip even more enjoyable.

My friend fell out of the raft when we reached heavy rapids and Carlos acted very quickly to get him back into the raft safely. - Tiffany R7 contributionsOur tour with Kenia at the Hanging Bridges of Mystic Park was absolutely fantastic! Kenia was not only super knowledgeable but also fun and energetic, making the day much more exciting. She kept us captivated with cool facts about the rainforest and wildlife. The afternoon hike on the El Silencio trail was wonderful and had amazing views of Arenal Volcano. Lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe was a pleasant treat! But really, the stop at La Fortuna Waterfall was jaw-dropping, the cherry on top!
