There are actually much bigger cedar forests in the area, with hardly anyone visiting, and where you can do proper walks . This one is small but has the oldest trees and beautiful surroundings.

Abu Joseph restaurant offers a variety of plats with Lebanese mezze. You will enjoy the food after a two hour hike in the valley.

Even as popular and crowded as it is, this monastery should not be missed. Built into the cliffside, the church is atmospheric. There are numerous nooks and crannies to poke your head into. It's a spiritual place.

It is a charming place to visit, very quiet and peaceful. It may be a challenge to drive here, on last kilometres you have quite narrow and devious road so be careful especially in the winter season. The temperatures may be below zero early in the morning and late in the evening, so better plan your visit taking it into consideration. The church is beautiful, well-preserved and well maintained. The views are breathtaking.

Only if you are into arts, paintings in particular. Its a small museum but the paintings and the sketches are superb. Not recommended for young children.

Amazing destination for hiking and nature lovers but also very interesting for its historical and archeological aspects as you can discover many caves and monasteries with paintings, engravings, water, and stories ... it is an amazing walk in the nature did it several times early morning (started at 4:00 am) or afternoon starting 3:00 pm with overnight in the valley !! Amazing and must see especially for nature lovers !!

Hadchit is part of the Unesco World Heritage valley and famous for being located on the edge of a deep cliff. The main attractions in the town are Saint Elias church and the breathtaking view from the top of Saint Elias mountain, Saint Romanos historical church and the hiking trail from Hadchit main square to 11 Maronite monasteries in the heart of Kadisha valley.

Walking to this cave monastery is an adventure in itself. You walk down the valley wall and then hug the wall until you get to the cave. The head clearance is very low. It's hard to imagine somone living here but the views are great and you get some insight into the hermits of years past.

It was an impressive moment to reach Qurnat as sawda, the highest peak in Lebanon and the middle east. Very beautiful and funny to road between the peaks of north Mount Lebanon to reach Qurnat as sawda. Once there, some bedouins may offer you coffee. Of course, it has to be done at summer season because in winter season and even early in autumn the snow starts to fall down and cuts the road, or it could be done with professionals by walking on snow in late winter.
