What travellers are saying
- Edmar BBrasilia, DF10 contributionsI love zoos, and I've found this place a nice place.
The location is very accessible and the entrance prices are very reasonable.Written 3 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Lynn-MICharlotte, NC80 contributionsI have visited the Iguatemi Esplanada in Sorocaba several times and have found many wonderful items to bring home for myself and for gifts. My main shops include the Havaianas store (fun sales people, good selection of Havaianas and charms), L'Occitane Brasil (fabulous products, packaging and scents) and O
Botanico (skincare, body care - made in Brasil). There are also nice jewelry shops and clothing stores. The food court is a typical mall food court - lots of choices and decent, not stellar, food. I always make a point of stopping by this mall to pick up a few Brazilian items for myself and for my family / friends.Written 25 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Reinaldo N38 contributionsA nice park in the best area of Sorocaba. A 2km trek around the green park with an internal ring amongst trees and external ring on sidewalk. Drinking water fountain available. Clean and well taken care of. People go there for jogging night and day. There are lakes, gym equipment and benches to sit and gaze.Parents take their children and pets too. Can't miss it if you're in the city.Written 5 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Eric FSorocaba, Brazil70 contributionsWhat was that!?!?! This was the 6th year of this "event" in Sorocaba City - SP at Céu Sagrado. Each year they increase the number of lights decorating the trees, paths, houses and gardens all over the place. Entrance is free and they only ask for food donations (milk, rice, beans, soy, etc) but only if you want to contribute. It is just superb! My son loved it! I recommend that if you have the chance, come to visit Céu Sagrado! You will not regret...Written 14 February 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lynn-MICharlotte, NC80 contributionsIf you are looking for a very local experience in Sorocaba, don't miss visiting CEAGESP. It is a combination farmer's market, food stalls and local shopping (handicrafts, flowers, plants, art, and a whole lot more).
The setting is outdoor, with covered shopping stalls.
During my visit, there was a traditional Northern Brazilian band playing drums and dancing. It was incredible.
The local delicacy is Pastels. A fried treat stuff with chicken and cheese. It's delicious, but be prepared to wait in line. I also tried sugar cane juice....it's great, fresh and sweet.
The market is open late on Wednesdays and on Saturday mornings. Monday / Tuesday / Thursday / Friday are traditional hours. I do not know if they are open on Sundays, but I think not.Written 25 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Jo.Cape Town Central, South Africa33 contributionsIf you've visited larger Bots Gardens these might disappoint. The location is rather small and there is not much to see in terms of flora and fauna, however it's very tranquil and affords some gorgeous views of the city. Worth a leisurely stroll through.Written 11 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- PauliDublin, Ireland13 contributionsIt has one of the best landscapes of the public gardens in Sorocaba. It's quite small, but great for a walk with dogs, a pic nic or an afternoon with kids. It's quite well conserved, compared to other parks, and has a good amout of trees, that make the sun of Sorocaba bearable. A good option for a lazy weekend.Written 22 June 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TerrinePotterSorocaba, SP29 contributionsThis is definitely not a place only for those who pray but also for those that enjoy architecture and sacred art. It's full of walls painted with passagens of the Bible, a wonderful ceiling and crafted wooden doors. If you are lucky enough you may catch the choir rehearsing (it´s a small one but nice). Masses happen on Saturdays and Sundays.Written 28 December 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Vanessa MSorocaba, SP13 contributionsBike lane around, public bikes (you need a citizen card).
Near the public library.
The building has a different architecture.Written 18 October 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - FOSheyeEstepona, Spain187 contributionsThe market is in the centre of the city with many pedestrian streets around. The Market is good with lots of interest food, vegetables and fruits. Eg Cajoua or something like that, see photo :-) only sad thing is the price for castanhas .... here 75 reales por kilo while in Aracaju 45!!! Huge different of course because they grow in Bahia and Sergibe! Anyway the marcado is for sure worth a visit!Written 7 January 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
