    Magnificent.

I suggest to go with the little train and book online at least the day before to avoid surprises. Do not go with bad weather, it would be a waste.

The view of Rio is Beautiful and the monument fantastic. I don't give 5 stars because it's not short-breadthening like pyramids of Giza or the Coliseum in Rome, but it's close. :)

Such a beautiful park, it is really worth going here. The trees, the birds, amazing! Just keep in mind that they don't accept card payments, so bring some cash.

You have two options to get to the top of the Urca Hill. The traditional is by the cable car, but you can also take the easy trail thta starts somewhere in the middle of Claudio Coutinho´s walk (it begins at the left side of the beach).
There you will find some options of food and snacks.
With some luck, you will see planes landing on the Santos Dummont airport maneuvering just a couple of hundreds meters in from of you. (also is a nice experience to get on one of these flights)

Perfect for long walks. Not too much to do on the way / beach. More south, lesser building, more nature / birds.

We saw Brazil v Chile here for a World Cup qualification match, what an experience, the Brazilian fans are so passionate and love their team. An amazing stadium as well.

I would recommend more iconic sights like Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf to folks visiting the city for only a day or two, but if you’re staying longer and seeking additional things to do and see, I suggest you spend an hour or two at this museum, especially if there are free admission days and the weather is good enough to tour the outside. Like others have mentioned, I do wish there was more, and I feel the entry fee could be lowered for the quantity of offerings, but this doesn’t mean you should avoid the museum entirely.

A nice cafe is inside with a good selection of items (at high prices for the portion sizes, though), and the staff are all friendly. Wheelchair users can navigate the facility with ease, and exhibits are translated for speakers of English and Spanish, as well as Portuguese of course. Some smaller displays out in the halls on the second floor lacked signage in any language, which made me confused as to what I was looking at, but most areas were equipped with either physical labels or technology that enables visitors’ phones to capture the info and show it to them or activate sounds.

Once done with the inside, I strongly encourage everyone to take a bit to stroll the museum grounds by the water and near Olympic Boulevard. The vistas are wonderful, and in good weather like during my visit, it’s an awesome place to eat food and/or people-watch. The way they constructed the museum allows for the best in-and-out combo of seeing the exhibits and enjoying fresh air around a stunning piece of architecture that is the Museum of Tomorrow.

    Thanks for a nice visit!

A must do if you’re in Rio! We were approached by a sales lady who offered a van service that would take us on top of the visitor center and include two additional viewpoint for R50 each person round trip, so we agreed to it. The van service took us to this great view of Rio - it’s about half way to visitor center. Then it drove us the visitor center afterwards. Beautiful view!

Very nice beach in Ipanema, less people, great waves, close to Arpoador Hotel where you can have a drink in their stunning view terrace.

Fot the tips about security and robberies, please check online. My perception was that if you go without phone and credit cards, but with swim suit with zip keeping with you few cas, you should be fine.

For the rest, go there late in the afternoon before the sunset. Walk on the beach and see all the brazilians playing football listening to samba music. Go to La murete to admire the violet and orangish sunset drinking a good caipirinha.

The morning, check when is the sunrise e go there... It is the most beautiful fire in the sky i have ever see. Maybe go in front of posto 5 where there are always organized group of people doing cardio so you are not alone

Amazing hike but it's actually very hard....some parts I felt like I needed a rope...I went up without but saw people going up with a rope. Anyways, the views are amazing but the hike is something very hard...I mean I was kinda dying the next day.

This is a lovely beach to visit if it isn't crowded. I found it to be less of a headache than Copacabana and less busy than Ipanema. It is one of the areas you should check out and explore when you first arrive in Rio so it stands out a bit in your memory.
