I've been to museums all over the world and this remains one of the most interesting...and relaxing as it's hardly ever crowded.
Excellent museum
I love interactive museums!
Only a short walk from the station this museum has free entry, a small but sufficient history of instant ramen with plenty of interaction, and at the end you can choose to customise a cup of instant ramen for a ve...
... just need a day where the kids are kept entertained for 3 - 5 hours :) This is a 4 storey building, which combines a little bit of a science museum, a mini role play kidzania, and an indoor playground all in one.
Also, there is a large community park that is adjacent to the museum with huge awesome slides.
Although the admission is pricey from my point of view this is a gem of a museum, with a comprehensive coverage of Japanese ceramics and their relationships with Chinese and Korean ceramicists.
If you do enjoy oriental culture , stroll around this lovely museum, with a fantastic exposition of oriental vases and ceramic !
Mint Museum Osaka
After watching cherry blossoms You can also visit the Coin Museum.
Superb museum, well layed out over two floors.
This is probably one of the best museums I've been to.
I also recommend buying “Osaka Amazing Pass” (3000 Yen per person for 2 days) which allows you free admission to 28 tourist attraction sites including Osaka Castle & Museum of History.
2 Ways to experience it
To put this visit in perspective, today is my third day visiting Osaka this trip, and last year I also spent 3 days here, and of all the sites, museums and galleries I've seen and visited, this one was the best of...
By that time, we have kinda lost our vibe but we went in anyways and thank god we did because I dare say this is one of the most interesting museums in Osaka!
Expocity Suita
To be fair, however, I am neutral and as a tourist quite appreciate the strategic multiple layout of this post-Expo site converted to a shopping centre cum theme-park cum museums.
Park and museum nearby, can spend whole day there.
We defy any child, or adult, not to enjoy this great museum
We have been to similar museums in Europe and this one ranked up there.
An easy subway ride from Namba Station, and a 15-minute walk through the park, will bring you to this wonderful outdoor museum, where 12 buildings -- mostly farmhouses, but also a couple of granaries-- have been m...
However the best part of the museum is the free 20 mins video in its wonderful theatre that explains everything (101 Guide!) about the kofun and the exhibits related to the burial ground.
The museum is nicely laid out with good and easy descriptions which makes it enjoyable to walk around in the museum.
One of my favourite museums/galleries in japan.
Brilliant museum
Museums, art galleries, libraries, Japanese History ++++++.
Although I could view photos of this museum on the internet, I decided to go to experience it.
Nice museum in an interesting location
Sayamaike Museum Osakasayama
The museum is designed by Tadao Ando and worth visiting both for its architecture and the well curated exhibition on the history of an ancient water management system in Japan (the Sayama reservoir).
During our trip to Japan we visited several pieces of modern architecture (since my husband is an architect) but for me, walking behind the water cascade at the Sayamaike Museum was almost spiritual and just took...
Peace Osaka Osaka
Perhaps the name Osaka International Peace Center also known as the Peace Center contributes to it being slightly off the radar when it comes to Osaka Museums, but during our recent stay in Osaka I googled "WWII O...
would highly recommend - especially because the focus of the Hiroshima museum is the atomic bomb while Osaka's museum gives more of a general overview of WWII in japan.
We visited the Osaka Museum of Natural History which was one of the attractions covered under the Osaka Amazing Pass.

I last visited several years ago and the museum has been wonderfully updated in every way since then.
First Bicycle Museum Ever for me
This museum is small but perfectly formed, anyone with even a remote interest in art should go and visit it, especially if you plan to visit the Umeda Sky Deck as it's in the same building & you get a discount for...
