- Mrs PCanvey Island, UK29 contributionsDevils pool is definitely one for adrenaline junkies! I wouldn’t recommend young children are taken on this experience. My daughter is 11 years old and the current is far too strong for anyone but a strong swimmer. The boat ride to Livingstone Island was great. The experience itself is unbelievable, and the gourmet lunch was incredible. Highly recommendWritten 5 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mrs PCanvey Island, UK29 contributionsOne word “incredible”
The most amazing sight you’ll ever see, the rising mist can be seen as you are landing in Livingstone and from the skies it is phenomenal. Don’t forget your poncho’s as you’ll definitely get very wet on your walk. We experienced a stunning rainbow on the day we visited. 100% recommend this once in a lifetime experience.Written 5 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They have Giraffes too. And the highlight of the trip was actually the White Rhinos. We walked closely to them and took pics..Written 17 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mutale C2 contributionsThis was definitely a thrilling experience. Words still fail me on how to explain the free fall but once on it, it's downhill all the way! Will definitely do this again.
Mulele was the one! Made sure our booking was done, time followed, picked up and sent us straight o he airport after.
Do ask for him for a great service.Written 20 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I did the unlimited adrenaline package with free helicopter ride (included gorge swing, abseiling, and zip lining in two different positions). The gorge swing was definitely the highlight, so much so that I did it 3 times! The one limiting factor for the swing and abseiling, is the hike back up afterwards, but the reward was well worth it. I felt entirely safe the whole time. We crossed into Zimbabwe for the helicopter ride and were able to see the whole falls, including the rainbow (which shows when the sun is shining). Mulele made the whole process of crossing customs and moving from one activity to the next extremely smooth.Written 8 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chloe S1 contributionSuch an exhilarating experience, a real adrenaline rush, not for the faint hearted. The rapids felt like they were huge (in January), many of them were grade 5 which is the highest that can be done on a commercial tour. However, I felt in safe hands with our captain Emmanuel who gave clear instructions and navigated expert lines so that our boat didn't flip. When the other boat in our tour did flip, it was great to see how expertly all the members of the team were helped back to safety including the crew in the safety kyaks. All members of the crew were friendly, chatty, welcoming but also took their roles seriously. Food afterwards was great. Definitely recommend to anyone who is after a thrill.Written 10 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sil L1 contributionWe had an amazing rafting experience with Maano's rafting team. Would definatively recommend it if you are a bit sporty. Captain James, Abraham and all other teammembers were very kind and safety orientated. After a hike down the gorge we enjoyed about 18 rapids over 3 hours of rafting. After the hike up we enjoyed a good lunch and the team drove us back to our accomodation. Bring good shoes for the hike and lots of suncream!Written 5 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - littlewing1958Eureka, Nv20 contributionsAMAZING TRIP! Exceeded my expectations at every turn. We did it ALL in 2 weeks and I can’t wait to go back. Connie, Vinnie, Given, Friday and Steve were simply awesome. Everyday was even better than the one before. Each experience was unbelievable from the game drives to laying in the Zambezi River at the crest of Victoria Falls to the Lion Experience to the Elephant Cafe, and on and on. The food and lodging were wonderful. I cannot say enough about this company or the fabulous time I had.

We hit some killer rapids (because we wanted to be more aggressive as a group) and had a ton of fun. They also create and sent an awesome video so you can share it with friends and family.Written 23 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jessica A47 contributionsThis was hands-down the best thing we did in Victoria Falls! The views from Livingstone Island are gorgeous and swimming in Devil’s Pool is a thrilling and once in a lifetime experience! To top it off, the lunch was absolutely delicious. - Binks G2 contributionsMy friend and I were looking for something different from the typical river cruises along the Zambezi. Daka was fantastic in arranging a morning river safari for us. We saw loads of animals, including multiple pods of hippos. The guides were very informative as they took us along the river.
A baby hippo happily eating its breakfast will remain a trip highlight for us.

The pilot was gentle and welcoming and took the time to find some elephants, crocodiles, and hippos at low altitudes! This was my last activity at the falls before heading back home and it was the perfect way to end the trip. They offer a flight jacket that you can opt to wear to keep warm in the sky. No lose items are allowed in the air (by law, I believe), meaning that phones have to stay at the Batoka office, so make sure to include a bit of money for photos in your budget. This was my first time on a microlight and it was absolutely worth it.Written 4 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Barry W2 contributionsMy trip was just the best 1 day safari arranged through Savanah. They looked after us fantastically and we saw loads of animals and birds.
I have travalled a great deal but my combination of DEvils Pool, 3 days rafting the Zambize and Botswana safari made this my best ever adventure.
Lunch on our Safari was great. 4 of us went all English and we all tipped our guides, Sad others did not, the guides were 110% fantastic.
Please if you go help the guides more by showing your appreciation .

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Ellen Urbani13 contributionsI took my son on a 16th birthday trip down the Zambezi in August with Water by Nature, and what a gift it was for both of us! We are seasoned whitewater adventurers, and are familiar with many outfitters around the world, and Water by Nature is at the top of our list. Hamish, the owner, kindly fielded questions from across the pond during the planning stage and the on-the-ground crew in Zambia was among the best I’ve ever encountered. From drivers (Evans) to porters (Mukuma) to guides (Isaac, Kavius, and Darwin) to the best operations manager EVER (Lovemore), I have never known a crew to be more friendly, flexible, accomplished, or hard-working. I so appreciated their capacity to quickly assess guests' skill-level and adapt options to ensure all were both challenged and safe. The camps where we overnighted were beautiful, the meals healthful and plentiful, and the staff vigilantly followed ethical Leave No Trace protocols. One example of their commitment to going the extra mile was their treatment of guests whose luggage had been lost by the airlines: Water by Nature’s ground staff maintained contact with the airlines while we were on the river, sourced the missing bags, picked them up from the airport in our absence, and arranged to have porters hike the bags into the Batoka Gorge mid-trip to reunite guests with their gear. It was a model of customer service that went above-and-beyond, as was the London staff’s willingness to bookend our river trip with alternate activities, handling all arrangements on our behalf from tour scheduling to hotel reservations. Truly one-stop shopping! We look forward not just to our next adventure with Water by Nature, but also to furthering our newfound friendships with their stellar staff. Good humans, all.Written 29 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
