I can't exaggerate how good this buying experience was. I visited the outlet in the Four Points hotel in Arusha. Elitruda waited on me and led me meticulously through the process of selecting a cutting and selecting a setting. The gem cutting and jewelry craftsmanship are unparalleled. Elitruda enriched the experience by narrating the history of the gem and its value on the market. The provision of detailed certificates and the duty free pricing made this more of an investment than a purchase. But I will be back to invest in all the people I love.

The Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre is worth a visit if your safari starts from Arusha and you have a few hours to visit. It has a large shopping area of locally made African items next to the large building with sculptures, artwork, textiles and carvings. There are plenty of low-cost quite nice souvenirs that are small and easy to transport, probably one of the better selections you will run across. They can also ship. The art gallery is well done, and they can ship. The shopping area is a key one for tanzanite, especially high-end stones. You will find tanzanite all over in small shops, but this one appears to have the best selection if you are looking for high-grade, clear stone.

Augustine is a proper pro guide. His tours run like a Swiss train: always on time.
But he's far more friendly than a Swiss train conductor!
His happy, positive attitude is contagious.
I spent a week with him and was so impressed.
Most of his clients come from America, but he's open to people from everywhere.

Nearly all of the reviews left here are of Ngorogoro Crater. Ngurudoto Crater in Arusha National Oark is beautiful, but you cannot enter it, nor are there any lions or rhino in Arusha National Park. 🤨

Last April we visited the northern parks of Tanzania: Serengeti, Tarangire and the Ngorongoro crater. Our safari experience was elevated to extraordinary levels by the impeccable planning and execution by Galloping Safaris. From the seamless logistics to the top-notch accommodations, every detail was thoughtfully arranged to ensure a memorable adventure.

A special commendation goes to our guide, Anderson. He was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and enthusiastic, bringing the safari to life with fascinating insights into the wildlife and ecosystems. Anderson had an uncanny ability to spot animals from great distances and ensured we had the best vantage points for viewing and photographing wildlife. His passion and respect for the environment and commitment to conservation were truly inspiring.

"We did our Safari in February 2024, visiting all the major national parks in Northern Tanzania: the Tarangire, lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti.
I will not go in day by day details, also because every travel or safari experience is unique! But what we alived was truly amazing.

Amazing, not only because we saw animals of all kinds: all the big five (Rhinos, Elephants, Buffaloes, a Leopard and many Lions), Hyenas, thousands and thousands of Zebras and Wildbeasts, Crocodiles, Cheetahs, Thompson gazelles, many species of birds. But, also, because we had the privilege of experiencing unique situations such as: lions hunting, lions meeting, we spent a day with Hadzabe tribes and Maasai, even the experience of having a lion passing close to our tent overnight!
I'm an amateur potographer, I have been to many countries in Africa doing safari (Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa, Madagascar....), but this was really a lifetime experience.

And now let me thank who made all this possible. Thanks to Stephen and Jasper from Swala Safaris for their patience in fullfilling all my wishes, taking care of any single detail (from car's equipments to room types in lodge/accommodations) without surprises......from paper to reality! And, thanks to ChaCha our super, amazing tour guide/driver, full of skills, knowledge and full of a contagious enthusiasm......simply number 1! TOP !
    Thanks! Alex, Enzo and Paolo."

Easytravel have made our safari experience one to remember!

Booking the safari was super smooth with Voice who communicated quickly and clearly via WhatsApp. She created the perfect itinerary to suit us and sent us lots of information in advance to help us prepare

When we arrived, we had a lovely welcome from our driver Salvatory and Voice and Rukia also briefed us before as well as giving us a lovely cake to celebrate our honeymoon.

The safari was incredible, we spent 4 days driving around Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro national parks. Salvatory was a brilliant guide as he shared lots of information on the animals and was able to answer the many questions we had. He maximised our safari time and was always able to track down the animals so we saw all the animals we had hoped for!

The accomodation we stayed in was magical with the most beautiful rooms and views. We only wished we could stay longer!

Thanks so much for such a wonderful experience!!

Amazing experience hiking from base camp to Mt. Meru summit and back down with Fred and his fantastic team.

Fred’s experience of the mountain and the rest of the team’s incredible hard work helped make our trip a memorable and once in a lifetime experience.

The porters do an unbelievable job carrying so much weight up the mountain and make it look easy.

The chef was also great, we both have difficult dietary requirements and he made us something new every meal that catered to our needs.

We made it to the summit for sunrise, after setting off from camp at 2am (a truly unique experience), and back down in one (exhausted) piece.

Would highly recommend Suricata Safaris for your Mt. Meru adventure.

We had a fantastic trip with Lukiano. The service from Lion king was very professional from the initial enquiry to arriving in Arusha. Everything was very well organised and the itinerary was delivered to a tee.

In particular, we must thank our guide, Lukiano, who really made the trip special for us. He was the perfect host and always ensured the safari each day was what we wanted. His company over the 5 days was very enjoyable also. He is a gentleman! I would highly recommend requesting Lukiano as a guide when booking with Lion King.

We went on a 4-day hike to Mount Meru with Amir and his team from Shadows of Africa.
The hike was so special and beautiful. The first 2 days were relatively easy although the climb is quite steep. The 3rd day was extremely though, waking up in the middle of the night after 3 hours of sleep and hiking to the summit for 6 hours, and back for 7 hours total. We totally recommend to do the hike in 4 days just to have some time to sleep and recover and enjoy the last day back down.

Amir was very nice and professional, we felt very safe and supported. He really helped us to dig deep and reach the summit. Everything was well taken care of by his team, we had great food and service. It was an experience to never forget!

This was for sure one of the best experiences in our life. We did a 5-day tour with the best safari driver and guide ever, Cleopa.
We visited 3 national parks (Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater) and we were lucky enough to see lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos, all of the big 5!! Also, we had the very rare chance to see a cheetah hunting. All thanks to the great knowledge of Cleopa, who were able to find us the best views of the animals and teach us a lot of interest things about them! Besides, all our requests during the safari tour were kindly attended by Cleopa and last but not least, all the driving was very safe (it is a lot of km driving all day and the roads are very bumpy).
Finally, a special thanks to all the campsites we slept in for the great hospitality (Olerai Lodge, Tarangire Simba Lodge, Acacia Central Camp, Karibu Lions Paw). Everything was perfect!

Meru Slopes and our driver guide Jacob were the perfect choice for our first Safari. Meru slopes is a 100% Tanzanian company with a great team. The communication with Jerome to organise the trip was very good and everything went smoothly from the first to the last day. He was always available for any questions and replied quickly.

We spent six days in a super positive and fun atmosphere with Jacob and got the chance to see the big five and many more animals and landscapes. He is extremely knowledgeable and explained interesting facts all along the trip.

Our favorite moments during the safari were our 3 days in the Serengeti where we slept in comfortable tented camps and the day in the Ngorogoro Crater. We also absolutely wanted to see the Great Wildebeest Migration and Jacob made sure we saw them and he even rearranged one night to be closer to them in the central Serengeti area.

Every day we received cooked meals for lunch during the game drives while we saw many other companies provide lunch boxes with sandwiches - overall we can say we were really happy about our choice to go with Meru slopes all along our trip. I highly recommend going on safari with Meru Slopes and to ask for Jacob to be your guide. You will be guaranteed to go home with an unforgettable experience.

    Thanks Jacob and Meru Slopes!
