I can’t recommend AAAfrica highly enough! Augustine is the consummate naturalist, with an amazing breadth of knowledge of Tanzania’s wildlife, ecosystems, geology and culture. His driver/guide/naturalists are also very knowledgable, friendly, courteous and they are very responsible, skillful drivers (don’t discount that last point).
AAAfrica will take care of all of the of the details of your trip, and do an excellent job of it. All of the lodges we were booked into were excellent, with great amenities and excellent food. Our safari trip was absolutely terrific due in no small part to the efforts is Augustine and the rest of the staff at AAAfrica.

Nearly all of the reviews left here are of Ngorogoro Crater. Ngurudoto Crater in Arusha National Oark is beautiful, but you cannot enter it, nor are there any lions or rhino in Arusha National Park. 🤨

We found Daudi’s contacts from other reviews on TripAdvisor and he was a great guide.

We were a group of five people who visited the beautiful land of the Masai and climbed the Ol Donyio Lengai and visited Lake Natron.

The hike was beautiful and very special. It’s important to underline that this is a very strenuous hike. You will climb 1700 meters of altitude on very steep slopes (around 45 degrees close to the top) and you will have to descent through same way down so if you are afraid of heights and steep drop offs reconsider if this is for you. The path is also quite technical with uneven and slippery parts. We did the hike as a one day hike beginning and ascending during the night reaching summit for sunrise. The trek took 13 hours in total, six hours ascending, one hour on top and six hours descending.
All together it’s a technically difficult and physically demanding trek.

Having said that it was absolutely gorgeous. The landscape and views were incredible and the volcanic top has an otherworldly feel to it. Just amazing.

Lake Natron was amazing as well with incredible views and the possibility of seeing different wildlife and game. We saw giraffes, Wildebeest, Zebra, Flamingo and much more. It’s like a mini Safari.

If you decide to go, we can definitely recommend Daudi and his team of drivers and chef. They were all great and he especially was very knowledgeable about the area, the Masai culture, the animals and especially the mountain and trek.

He was very helpful and experienced in guiding us through the hike. Also he was very transparent about costs. Daudi is not just a tour operator. The Masai land is his home and going with him gives a unique insight into the Masai culture. You’re emerged into authentic Masai culture!

all in all we were so happy to the this trip with him and his team!

Peter is an excellent guide and driver but not only! His knowledge of animals allowed us to mirix understand their habits and better appreciate the chance to meet them. Besides, Peter’s human qualities are many: caring, friendly, honest, funny and very helpful. we loved to b. guided by him and recommend eyes closed!

"We did our Safari in February 2024, visiting all the major national parks in Northern Tanzania: the Tarangire, lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti.
I will not go in day by day details, also because every travel or safari experience is unique! But what we alived was truly amazing.

Amazing, not only because we saw animals of all kinds: all the big five (Rhinos, Elephants, Buffaloes, a Leopard and many Lions), Hyenas, thousands and thousands of Zebras and Wildbeasts, Crocodiles, Cheetahs, Thompson gazelles, many species of birds. But, also, because we had the privilege of experiencing unique situations such as: lions hunting, lions meeting, we spent a day with Hadzabe tribes and Maasai, even the experience of having a lion passing close to our tent overnight!
I'm an amateur potographer, I have been to many countries in Africa doing safari (Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa, Madagascar....), but this was really a lifetime experience.

And now let me thank who made all this possible. Thanks to Stephen and Jasper from Swala Safaris for their patience in fullfilling all my wishes, taking care of any single detail (from car's equipments to room types in lodge/accommodations) without surprises......from paper to reality! And, thanks to ChaCha our super, amazing tour guide/driver, full of skills, knowledge and full of a contagious enthusiasm......simply number 1! TOP !
    Thanks! Alex, Enzo and Paolo."

We just returned back home after a fantastic family adventure to Tanzania. During our stay we went on a six-days safari and we had the great pleasure of having Abi (Ibrahim) as our safari-guide!
He greeted us every morning with a big smile, positive attitude, ready for a new day! Abi has over 20 years experience as a safari-guide and his love for his country, culture and wildlife is exceptional. Our kids claim they learned more from Abi in six days than they learn at school for a whole year :)
We can highly recommend Abi and we would love to go back to Tanzania for a new visit!

Hiked all the way from Arusha to the the waterfall, from de entrance it's a beautiful jungle walk to the waterfalls. You probably can find the waterfalls by yourself but I decided to take a guide because I want to support the community. Remember 10,000 shillings for us is nothing but for them it means a lot so they can support their family and send there kids to school. Agree about the price before you go . Entrance fee to the park s25,000 shilling , don't forget to take your sandals with you because you have to cross the river a couple of times.

Our guide Albert is very experience and knowledgeable. He is really good at catching animals in far distance.
We ticked all our boxes for all of the animals we want to see and Albert knows what is the best angle for photos. He has well knowledge of the wildlifes and tell us stories about it. Communication with Gosheni is also great. Staffs always respond in timely manner and answer questions we ask during our trip planning, the recommendations they made suit us the most and we have a really pleasant and leisurable time in Tanzania.

We had a great safari experience with Suricata. On the first day we were picked up from our previous accommodation in the morning and taken to a comfortable hotel booked by Suricata. We were able to spend the rest of the day on a half day trip to the Kikuletwa Hotsprings, for which our Suricata agent organized a driver for us within minutes. The safari itself started the next morning at around 7:30 am. We picked up two other guests and our cook. On the way to Serengeti we drove through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where we stopped at a viewpoint on the crater rand and were able to take photos of the entire crater. At the gateway to the Serengeti, we were served our first meal, which was a particularly positive experience. Our cook provided us with hot lunches and dinners and very tasty breakfasts throughout the trip and even baked a cake - it is still a mystery to us how he managed to do this on campsites with the simplest of utensils. The food was definitely one of our highlights on the safari. Other safari groups often only received packed lunch boxes, as we were able to observe from time to time. In the Serengeti and later in the Ngorongoro Crater we had enough time on the game drives to observe several groups of lions, a cheetah, two rhinos, dozens of elephants and giraffes as well as countless wildebeests, antelopes and gazelles. The entire tour was done in a Toyota Landcruiser with an openable roof and was well organized all-around.
After the tour, we were booked into a hotel by Suricata for another night, where a Suricata agent was already waiting for us for a feedback talk. The only thing left for the next morning was our transfer to the next accommodation (or alternatively to the airport), which, like the first transfer, was included in the tour price.

Our trip with Lion King Adventures was just amazing!
The trip was very well planned and all our questions were answered beforehand quickly and professionally. The accommodation were all very nice and we enjoyed each and everyone.
Our guide Yusuph was awesome! He was very considerate, knows so much about the animals and the parks and was very professional! On our first day my friend was a little sick and we had to go to see the doctor first, which was no problem at all for Lion King Adventures. Yusuph was very kind and drove us to see the doctor, thus, we could start our trip nonetheless.
We learned so much about the wildlife in Tanzania! The game drives were awesome and we had so much fun! Yusuph was even patient enough to teach us some Swahili! That was just as much fun! So you are very lucky if Yusuph is your guide. Asante sana Yusuph!

Shadows of Africa - Serengeti and Zanzibar.
What an amazing tour! The friendly staff, the accommodation, food, everything was fantastic! Our guide was great. We went in the green season which worked out really well, a lot less crowded, felt like we had the place to ourselves.

In February of this year, our group of five adults went on an unforgettable journey to Tanzania, beginning our adventure in Arusha before venturing out into the wild for an exciting safari experience.

Our trip planner, Jose, coordinated every aspect of our expedition, ensuring seamless communication and addressing all of our inquiries with precision and efficiency. His attention to detail greatly contributed to the smoothness of our journey, and we were grateful for his thorough planning.

As we embarked on our six-day game drive, we were accompanied by the exceptional expertise of our tour guide, Ino.
His profound knowledge of the wilderness, coupled with his patience in answering our questions, made him an invaluable asset throughout our journey.
In addition to his guiding, Ino's exceptional driving skills and keen eye for photography enhanced our safari experience, allowing us to capture unforgettable moments amidst the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife.

Reflecting on our time in Tanzania, it's evident that our trip was enriched by the dedication and expertise of individuals like Jose and Ino. Their contributions not only ensured the success of our expedition but also left us with cherished memories that continue to resonate with us to this day.
