The Tanzanite Experience is a (free) small but very informative museum. Our guide, Beverly, walked us through and gave us a detailed explanation of what tanzanite is, how it's mined and refined, and what are the characteristics. Beverly was very nice and smiley and it was an overall pleasant visit.

There is also a shop in front of the museum. I had a limited budget, but Beverly helped me choose the perfect set to match my wishes with my budget. She also advised me on what looked good on me and on the quality of the tanzanite jewellery. I was also congratulated on becoming one of tanzanite owners. It was a nice experience shopping there.

The jewellery is more expensive compared to the jewellery stores on the street, however, Tanzanite Experience provided me with all certificates and advised me on how to declare / what to show at the airport, so I feel it was definitely worth it. Therefore, Tanzanie Experience recommended.

    Thanks to Galopping tour Safari.
We did 2 days of Safari in Tarangirie and Ngorongoro Park.
Thanks to our guide Mr DISMASS who was super nice, very patient, smiling and he explained lots of things to us throughout our safari.
I strongly recommend choosing Galopping tour which was professional and our experience was beyond our expectations.

    Greetings

did a school trip and they host visitors so well. Jane, Joel, Maria and all at the visitors team will work with you to customize your itinerary based on your interests and time there. If you are in Arusha and interested in education, charity, or just looking for something to do this is worth your time.

We just returned back home after a fantastic family adventure to Tanzania. During our stay we went on a six-days safari and we had the great pleasure of having Abi (Ibrahim) as our safari-guide!
He greeted us every morning with a big smile, positive attitude, ready for a new day! Abi has over 20 years experience as a safari-guide and his love for his country, culture and wildlife is exceptional. Our kids claim they learned more from Abi in six days than they learn at school for a whole year :)
We can highly recommend Abi and we would love to go back to Tanzania for a new visit!

Really not worth the entrance fee of 12,000 shillings. Old and run down with little reinvestment. The saving grace is an enormous turtle that roves around the place.

An all combined necessity for travel, entertainment, social events, food & bevarages and Shopping. There different restruants like pizza Spanish, cafés, salsa, mini bar. Also Clothing's and electrical supplies. Children playgrounds and supermarket. Plus the best cinéma in Arusha with two theatre's and a good parking lot.

This Market is very large with lots of aisles and tons of little vendor shops. Be sure to browse around before buying anything as a lot of vendors offer similar items. Bargaining is a given! If you find something you like, make sure to note what shop it was and where that shop is located, as it is easy to get confused with so many aisles. And you actually may find a similar item for less after bargaining.

Everything was planned perfectly and the itinerary couldn’t have been any better. Goodie made our first Safari unforgettable. The lodges, the food, the landscapes, the cultural assets of the country and of course the animals were shown and presented to us perfectly by Goodie. His knowledge about his own country is exceptional and his curiosity about other cultures is second to none!
Along the way we had great coversations, tons of fun and many other unforgettable moments!
The trip exceeded our expectations and there were no wishes unfulfilled.

We will come back for sure!
    Asante sana Goodie!

I was visiting the mall for an item and noticed this brewery on the ground floor. I was not expecting to find any craft beer during my stay in Tanzania so I knew I had to try their beer. They only have four beers but they can be tried in a tasting flight for 12,000 schillings (about $4.50 USD). I liked the Pilsner and IPA, but thought the stout and lager could still use some improvements. If I had been staying in Arusha longer, I would definitely have purchased a 6 pack to go.

Having some time to spare we organised a trip with a taxi who took us to the cultural centre. There some wonderful artifacts made by some very talented people. The artwork was especially good. Prices were displayed but the centre manager who welcomed us said we should approach him at the end of the visit to get "the best price". Sadly as we were very limited by weight and space in our luggage we were unable to consider any purchases.

We went to the House of Gems at Gran Melia Hotel. The service was great. I was looking for two tanzanite loose gems, and could only find one, the Gentleman went through all the gems he had not on display to find the perfect second gem which was very much appreciated.

The price is also the most reasonable we had seen.

Carol and the staff were all extremely helpful. Great selection of pieces at very reasonable prices. Was able to get a set of tanzanite earrings as a gift for my mom.

Festo and Yusuph were both safe and friendly drivers my two friends and I used while traveling in Arusha. They were both prompt, informative, and readily available when needed. As three single girls traveling in Arusha we never once felt unsafe. Festo and Yusuph were both very professional and also spoke great English, which was a bonus. Their cars were very clean too. Thank you Festo and Yusuph for your taxi services and helping us safely get around Arusha, Tanzania!
