The Tanzanite Experience is a (free) small but very informative museum. Our guide, Beverly, walked us through and gave us a detailed explanation of what tanzanite is, how it's mined and refined, and what are the characteristics. Beverly was very nice and smiley and it was an overall pleasant visit.

There is also a shop in front of the museum. I had a limited budget, but Beverly helped me choose the perfect set to match my wishes with my budget. She also advised me on what looked good on me and on the quality of the tanzanite jewellery. I was also congratulated on becoming one of tanzanite owners. It was a nice experience shopping there.

The jewellery is more expensive compared to the jewellery stores on the street, however, Tanzanite Experience provided me with all certificates and advised me on how to declare / what to show at the airport, so I feel it was definitely worth it. Therefore, Tanzanie Experience recommended.

An all combined necessity for travel, entertainment, social events, food & bevarages and Shopping. There different restruants like pizza Spanish, cafés, salsa, mini bar. Also Clothing's and electrical supplies. Children playgrounds and supermarket. Plus the best cinéma in Arusha with two theatre's and a good parking lot.

This Market is very large with lots of aisles and tons of little vendor shops. Be sure to browse around before buying anything as a lot of vendors offer similar items. Bargaining is a given! If you find something you like, make sure to note what shop it was and where that shop is located, as it is easy to get confused with so many aisles. And you actually may find a similar item for less after bargaining.

I was visiting the mall for an item and noticed this brewery on the ground floor. I was not expecting to find any craft beer during my stay in Tanzania so I knew I had to try their beer. They only have four beers but they can be tried in a tasting flight for 12,000 schillings (about $4.50 USD). I liked the Pilsner and IPA, but thought the stout and lager could still use some improvements. If I had been staying in Arusha longer, I would definitely have purchased a 6 pack to go.

We went to the House of Gems at Gran Melia Hotel. The service was great. I was looking for two tanzanite loose gems, and could only find one, the Gentleman went through all the gems he had not on display to find the perfect second gem which was very much appreciated.

The price is also the most reasonable we had seen.

Carol and the staff were all extremely helpful. Great selection of pieces at very reasonable prices. Was able to get a set of tanzanite earrings as a gift for my mom.

Lovely place! The staff are friendly and smiley. My friend and I had lunch at Sanaa Cafe. The food was amazing and so was the view. We really like the souvenir shop - it had lovely items with decent prices.

What a pleasant afternoon with nice result. An excellent place to go do some artwork (even when you are inexperienced!) when you are visiting Arusha. Rayson is a very patient and friendly teacher!!

We were thrilled with our safari experience. The company planned the park visits well to accommodate travel time & time needed to fully enjoy the park, and we met with a representative from the operations team on our way to the first park to set expectations, answer questions, and discuss the itinerary and any changes we might want to make last minute. For example, we switched our first and last parks due to what time we would arrive based on how the day was going; this allowed for more time at the larger park and avoiding the hottest part of the day when fewer animals might be active. Our guide was very personable and stopped to get us some fresh ginger for a cold I was trying to get over which was very thoughtful - you could tell he wanted us to have the best experience possible. We did not feel that there was a set route or timing at any park; we were able to explore and drive to where the animals were, pause when we needed to, and take as many pictures as we liked. Lordi made an effort each time to ensure we had a good view of the animals and would not have any vehicles in the background of our photos which was a very nice extra touch. He even planned our lunch stops so that we could enjoy our meal alongside giraffes one day, cheetahs another, and elephants a third.

Communication was strong with no language barrier, the accommodations were very comfortable, and we never had concerns for safety nor service level. Everything was tailored to how we wanted our safari experience to go, and we learned a great deal about animals, the Maasai tribe, and life in Tanzania. Finally, the vehicle provided ample shade, beverages, and there were charging stations so we never had to worry about running out of battery while we took pictures of the countless animals we saw.

    ****

What a wonderful experience. What a professional company. What an enthusiastic, smart, approachable and cheerful guide. Christopher (speaks German) accompanied us for 7 days and really brought us close to his homeland. With so many insights into the flora, fauna and culture of Tanzania. Unforgettable!
And so clear that we as Europeans can learn a lot from Africa in terms of hospitality, humor, serenity and helpfulness.
Everything, including the following days in Zanzibar, was perfectly organized.
The safari itself was a no-waste tour, with wonderful stops in the tented camps, great food and lots of insider experiences, especially thanks to Christopher. It doesn't get any better than this.
