Here the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary to share the blessing that she would conceive and give birth to the Son of God. The cupola overlooks the cave where in which the Archangel appeared to Mary. Nazareth is a Holy City, where Christians, Jews and Muslims live together.

Excellent perspective of Jesus’ life as a child. Inside tours, outdoors sites and real settlement of the time, lunch is excellent including the time place era. A definite must see and do while touring Israel.

This area is definitely worth a visit. It is a bit hilly so if you have difficulty walking, it could be an issue as there is no other way to see the area. The ruins are well marked and interesting to explore. There is a restaurant on the premises as well as vending machines for drinks. It was very hot when I was there and wish I had thought to carry a bottle of water with me as once you get away from the entrance is there are no restrooms or water fountains. There is also very little shade so sun screen and a hat would be a good idea.

The Angel Gabriel announced to the Virgin Mary that she would bear the Son of God. This is commemorated in St Gabriel's Church of the Annunciation. The Church of St Gabriel is part of the Eastern Orthodox Church. The Roman Catholic Basilica of the Annunciation is also dedicated to the Virgin Mary., but the two denominations disagree on the exact location of the Annunciation.

The Centre International Marie de Nazareth was first opened in 2011 by Leaders of Church Authority, as an instrument of Marian devotion as well as a Chapel of Unity for fostering growth in relationship with the Roman Catholic Church. Until 2020 it was administrated by Mixed Lay, Married and Single Religious institute of Consecreated Life. Since then the Franciscan Custody has made use of the Kitchen and Refectory and a Lay group of Missionaries Canno Nova, have made their home in the apartments and Offices. Canno Nova works as the Christian Media Center for the Bascilia of the Most Holy Annunciation.

Having arrived July 8, 2021, I was asked mantain the flowering gardens on each of the five levels of the Center. I had the task of catching up with main work of repairing the damage done by two years of neglect, with no budget, only good will to help. I can say the the Center is functioning and could be brought on line with the the help of God!

Worth a short visit since it is only a very short walk from the big Annunciation Church. It only takes a few minutes to see. There is a nice church and then you go downstairs to view the location which might have been the home of the Holy Family and/or Joseph's carpentry workshop. They have kept the downstairs rock-hewn humble.

The must-visit place in Nazareth combines art, history, legacy, and fascinating family stories.
This family-run pottery has a long history; it started in 1919 and has continued to operate until now.
We spent a lovely Saturday morning at the pottery. At first, we were greeted by Basem with coffee, and he gave us an introduction to the ancient history of pottery and the fascinating story of the founder of pottery, his grandfather. Took us on a tour to see the machines and the products, and then showed us the process of making them in the workshop. We learned techniques for making a bowl, drawings, and various shapes. And had fun working with the clay.
They hosted us perfectly, explained in a very interesting way, answered questions, shared the story of the family, listened, and guided us through the workshop.
I am a resident of Nazareth, and it was my first time in the pottery. Too bad I didn't participate before. I think it's a must-do activity for everyone visiting Nazareth, especially tourists who want to taste and feel the local history and culture

I recommend visiting Mount Precipice in the outskirts of Nazareth. Christians believe that Jesus jumped from here when he fled from those who chased him. A panoramic view of the Jezreel Valley spreads out from the mountain, in all directions. Davoria, Mount Tabor, Afula, Tel Adashim... This morning I was there at sunrise and from there I continued to Old Nazareth to wander the alleys, but that's another story...

The Salesian Church of Jesus the Adolescent is a Catholic church located on a ridge from which an impressive view of the city of Nazareth. It is one of Nazareth's largest and most magnificent churches and was designed by French architect Lucia Gauthier. Its construction began in 1906 but was discontinued during WWI, and ended only in 1920. The church was built in the Neo-Gothic style, and adjacent to it is the Don Bosco Vocational School, which previously (since 1902) served as an orphanage. There are many concerts in the church, and last Friday we sat in the church listening to "Gloria" by Vivaldi. It was great!
