For some reason, I feel that I could smell, feel and touch the history here. There is one spot you could view the whole city (it reminds me of Diamondhead a little)

A great place to explore! They also have a few restaurants and gelato along the water. See old churches built into the wall, sailboats, fishing boats, and there was some kind of group performance happening under a canopy. Restrooms in the warehouse were locked but we found porta potties in another area. We walked through the boat area and came to a warehouse where they were selling fresh fish.

An intensely personal museum, with the collection of a unique artist. Refreshing and different after so many ancient sights. Interesting gift shop selling her art - as such very expensive but also unique. Beautiful views of the Mediterranean from the roof terraces. We spent about an hour there, you could spend longer.

Fun thing to see as you are winding through the Old city of Jaffa and the port area. There is a placque on the wall nearby telling the history of it.

My wife and I for a long time wanted to visit this place. And in order to just look at interesting unusual things that are sold nowhere except at the flea markets, and in order to buy a couple of things home. There are a lot of different souvenir shops here. There are many different restaurants and cafes to relax while your visit. And there are many different shops with antiques(both simple things and furniture) here too. A couple of times we saw outright garbage on sale, but it's a few places like that. Most of what you come across here is either just interesting to see, or you can even buy it home. Most importantly, don't forget to bargain. In this country, and in such a flea market, it is quite appropriate and sometimes saves some money. The main thing is not to go too far, you should always respect each other in trade.
One last thing: before you go here, check it's working time in web. On some days you can see more here than on others. Or stay longer, as the shops are open much longer.

Tasting chocolate in the dark. A very sensual experience. I'm sure I'll come again to the theater. Highly recommended and the staff is great and welcoming.

We walked along the old port area, around the fishing boats, and through a warehouse where they were selling fresh fish to come to the park. It's just up a steep hill with rock stairs. We went to the top of the hill to have a picnic and enjoy the views. They have several areas with stone like seats under permanent canopies to sit.

I first discovered Frank Meisler's Gallery over 30 years ago while serving in the U.S. Army in the Sinai Egypt. I would come to Israel often and visit this Gallery trying to figure out which of the many items that I could afford I wanted the most. It was a hard choice but I still love the Jerusalem box I bought then. During the first Gulf War I went back with the Patriot Missile crews and had time to buy another treasure. Recently, I went back. Mr. Meisler had passed away the year before, but his younger daughter is keeping the Gallery going strong. A must see if you are in the area.

Non muslims cannot go inside this mosque but did appreciate the very attractive architecture in this great area of Tel Aviv. This mosque was restored in 1820 by Mahmoud Abu Nabut local ruler who rebuilt Jaffa after Napolean destroyed it.

This is a lovely stroll from the southern parts of the Tel Aviv promenade to Old Jaffa.
There are plenty of eateries in the area and also several nice bars.

Lights up different colors at night. Find your sign and make a wish while touching it and looking out to sea.

I absolutely felt in love with this artist, the vibrant colors, the energy that she expresses through her art. I m very happy to know such an artist exists.
