We completed the 5 day Ciudad Perdida Trek with our family of four, including two children age 5 and 9 years old. The service from Expotur was excellent, starting with the transport from and to the hotel, but also the communication before the trek. Our group of four had three dedicated guides: Jorge, the main guide, Samuel, the translator, and Cunga, the chef. The guides made our trip a great success. Delicious hot food three times per day, showing us the most beautiful places in the jungle, sharing a wealth of information about nature and culture, but above all, carrying our youngest child for miles across difficult terrain. The trek is very challenging, but our 9 year old daughter walked the full 57km distance (5500m total climb) and our 5 year old really enjoyed the adventure thanks to the loving care of our guides. The camps were great. There is WiFi everywhere for a small fee. The camp showers are cold but that is fine if you shower immediately when arriving at a camp hot and sweaty. Every camp has a shop where you can buy cold water bottles and beer. During the hikes, you get a break every 2km where the guides serve you fresh fruit. It makes the hikes easier to endure. The guides made the whole experience feel very luxurious. Meeting Mamo at Ciudad Perdida, the giant waterfall, the cable cart river crossings and swimming in the river are just some of the highlights of our trip.

The Lost City tour in Colombia is an unforgettable adventure that immerses you in the rich history and captivating beauty of the country. From start to finish, the tour provides an exhilarating experience that exceeds all expectations. The trek through lush jungles, crossing rivers, and ascending steep mountains is challenging but rewarding. The knowledgeable guides expertly navigate the trails, sharing the fascinating stories behind the ancient ruins and indigenous cultures. The Lost City itself is breathtaking, with its intricate stone terraces and majestic views. The tour also offers a unique opportunity to connect with local communities and truly appreciate Colombia's vibrant heritage. Without a doubt, the Lost City tour is a must-do for any traveler seeking an extraordinary and culturally immersive experience.

It was an incredible experience, David always attentive to listen to us and help us. He taught us a lot about culture. David was carrying his own material to teach us and his love for his work is also denoted. Totally recommended. The menu was very in line with expectations, the camps were clean and provided clean blankets, despite the rain the blankets were freshly washed. The plus of this agency and especially of David was that my friend was on her birthday and they made a double celebration. David set up a picnic in the lost city of fruits and snacks and when he arrived in the village he asked me for help to surprise my friend with a cake. Those details say a lot about the kindness and love with which they do their job.

Had an amazing time, Ernesto was really helpful when my knee locked and I was struggling to walk during certain stretches. Food was good, there was a lot of info and we were the first group to reach the lost city so had no one photobombing our pictures. Would recommend

The trek was awesome. The magnificent views, the warm welcome of the families where we've slept and the pace and good company of our guide, Tio Johnbany. Brilliant and a real good end of our journey.

This hostel was honestly the best stay I’ve had in Colombia. Affordable pricing with amazing views, this place is unbeatable ! The staff is super friendly and makes you feel at home. Location is right on the beach with easy access to renting surfboards and good restaurants. Relaxing place with great people.

We did the Ciudad Perdida Tour with Mega Sierra Tour and it was just amazing!
The nature you encounter throughout the tour is absolutely stunnig and the highlight of the tour, the lost city itself, is a magicial place like I haven‘t seen it before.
Our guide David was really great! He took care of us very well and had a lot of knowledge of the nature, the history and the indegenous people that he passed on to us.
Other than all the other agencies the guides from Mega Sierra Tours are people who come from the villages close to the Track. The money that is payed for the tour helps 6 rural communities, who founded the agency, to build schools, roads and other things.
In addition, Mega Sierra Tour has smaller groups of max. 9 people which makes the tour a lot more personal.
All in all a big recommendation!
