We had a great time at the wildlife park. It’s worth a stop. It cost about $7 USD per person for a guided tour, and half the price for unguided. During the tour we got to see and learn about some local wildlife. Most of the animals had been injured and were there for rehabilitation or for their life as they could not be returned to the wild. The facility is affiliated with Virginia Tech and has a research component as well. One feels good about supporting the operation. The guided tour took about 45 minutes and an hour is more than enough to slowly take your time through the park. It is small with maybe 20 different animals but again worth the stop.

Second time in Chobe National Park with Moabi and it was just as wonderful as the first time! We saw four of the big five, many birds and antelopes. Overall a very enjoyable day with one of the best guide we have ever had.

Worth the short walk to view - follow the main road out of town towards the Park and you’ll find it in the left.
Situated right outside of the Police Station.

Visited here during our stay in Botswana. Member of staff who showed us around was really nice and very knowledgeable. Showed us around the breeding pens and crocs at various stages. The outside areas have some huge crocodiles in! Very interesting and worth a visit!

We found it difficult to get any information about this place in advance, but it worth persevering. There are several different aspects to the park. There is a boardwalk footpath that takes you along by the river. It has benches and picnic spots. This may not be accessible if there are dangerous animals around; there is a guard who keeps an eye out for them and warns you not to go any further. Another part is the cultural village. This consists of homesteads of four different tribes. We were lucky in that we joined a small group who had booked a tour in advance. this meant that the park had arranged for tribes people to come and demonstrate traditional skills. The guides were very informative. There was also a display of traditional singing and dancing. There is also an exhibition hall and theatre, but we did not go to these. We walked to the park from Kasane, it was doable but quite hot and long.

We stayed at Chobe Marina Lodge for 4 nights. Regarding price. It was an all in price with hotel, local flights and safari included. African Odyssey activities centre is based at the hotel. The first evening we went for sunset cruise which we enjoyed. We saw various animals an found the guide very informative. We also did a morning cruise at 9.45 to give us a rest from the early mornings. The first morning at 5.45 we joined Mike the game ranger and our safari experience in Chobe National Park started and got better day after day. The park is famous for elephants. There are 60,000 and we saw many of them. We did 2 game drives per day (apart from those quoted above) and after the first morning had Mike to our selves. On the first drive we saw Lions which had not been seen in the park for some time. Elephant, Impala, Baboons and Giraffe. Also many birds. The following afternoon we went further into the park and saw many of the same animals but in different areas. To see Elephant eating grass in the river up to their necks and interacting togeather is something I never thought I would see. Also many hippo groups. As the days went by Mike took us further along the river and into the park. We saw Buffalo and a lion kill from the day before. On the last day we went the furthest of all and saw lionesses, a honey badger (not seen for a very long time) and a leopard also not seen for ages. We had many close encounters too, handled very efficiently by Mike who we can not praise highly enough. He is also a very good photographer and often took my camera and got brilliant shots. We have done other safari's in Africa but this was magical. To be on the edge of the river watching a lone elephant drinking and having a mud bath, who then walks so close to the vehicle I could have touched him was the best ever. The sounds of Africa in a setting like that can not be described. It is something I will never forgot and all thanks to Mike.

These baskets are unique. A true art. The women that produced them are fantastic. These women are an example for our society. They are hard working, loving mothers who take care of their family members thanks to their work an need our support and appreciation.

We went on a one day trip starting with boatsafari and after lunch on land. It was all excellent. We came so close to all the animals. I've been to many safaris in different places but this is by far the best experience. Even the food was great, as our guide Mr T. I would really recommend this to everyone. It was probably one of the best days in my life.

I just returned home from a fabulous 6 nights at the Pangolin Chobe Hotel in Kasane, Botswana. Everything was as expected. The room was comfortable with reliable internet and air conditioning. Lots of work space to edit photos, multiple international plugs (no need to bring a converter) and a comfortable bed. The food was outstanding at every meal and the staff was excellent. Many of the trips were on the river and the photo opportunities were endless. The boats are equipped with gimbals which helped with managing long lenses. Our guide was always looking to put us in the best positions to get great images. All of the guides there are outstanding and if you are into wildlife photography, booking a trip with Pangolin is a no brainer. I am eagerly looking to return next year and will bring along some of my photographer friends.

Amazing Amazing, Chobe river cruise. that’s all I can say. On the river cruise you get to see the animals that graze safely away from their predators, apart from the crocodile. We were fortunate enough to see herds of elephant and were very close. Was an experience we wouldn’t miss.
