An exceptional experience conducted with great sustainability in mind. Everything was perfectly organised , right from the on time pick up to the drive in impeccably maintained Land Rover’s , the falconry show and finally the authentic sit down dinner and the local Bedouin entertainment. If you want dune bashing and a mad rush, this is not the safari for you.
This is a traditional experience. Very small groups of people are taken for a desert drive down marked tracks in a vintage Land Rover. You then spot animals such as a oryx and gazelles before reaching the falcon camp where an experienced falconer takes you through the history of how bedouins used the falcons for hunting. You can then take pics with the falcons without any extra payments.
Last stop is the desert camp which is again very quaint and traditional. No loud music , no DJ , just authentic experiences all around. The food itself is awesome, very fresh and wholesome. All traditional. The entertainment for the evening consists of two Bedouin dances and the event is capped off with a lovely star gazing session where the guide speaks to you about the significance of stars for the early Bedouin’s.
Our guide, Kubra was a lovely young lady. Very committed to the job , great knowledge and super friendly. She took great care of us and we had an awesome interaction with her. She seemed very motivated and happy with the company and it showed in her work ethic.
All in all a lovely must do experience.
