What travellers are saying
- hjk121London, UK88 contributionsThis is a must do when you’re in Dubai. This was my second sunrise experience at Aura and it won’t be my last. I didn’t know if I’d enjoy it as much the second time around but it was just as amazing as the first time. The views are spectacular and it doesn’t feel too crowded despite being fully booked.
I’d recommend a front row bed. Marina view and Burj Al Arab views have both been great, but it doesn’t really matter as you’ll probably spend most of your time going around in the pool anyway.
The coffee is great but the staff don’t put pressure on you to buy food and drinks if you don’t want to.

- A. AliManchester, UK191 contributionsThe Dubai Museum is a lovely and informative day out with the kids. We learnt alot about how the architecture of Dubai came about. You cant help but reflect on the history of Dubai and the heavily silenced slavery of the people that have sacrificed their health and lives in the creating of the Magnificent Dubai we visit today.Written 25 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alev K1 contributionI am a olive because my name is alev and I'm Turkish. (Olivetrees originate from turkey mostly) I always loved olives since I'm little. Once my brother challenged me to eat as much olives as I can and I remeber till this day it was 35. Not really healthy. But I'm OK now. I am also rich in nutrion and very good to you. As old as an olive tree my soul is.
The experience in quranik park was amazing due to the excellence story telling and guidance of Abdul hakim. Bless him. He was so eloquent and it was truly a emotional experience. Whoever has the honor to go and meet him will be shocked by all the connections between us and the nature.
May Allah (SWT.) bless this park and everyone visiting.Written 2 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - warwickshireladWarwick40 contributionsWow.
I spent 3 hours in this wonderful museum, and I only managed to visit about a third of the total area.
First of all it's very easy to get to - just a couple of hundred metres from Al Ghubaiba Metro station. On the day I went there was a juice vendor in the park I walked through, and there's also a water fountain if you need to fill up your bottle.
The ticket office is in the first building you come to. The friendly staff in their told me all about the Museum, and then a guide showed me around the next building where there was a small theatre with an audio/visual show.
On through various other buildings with modern audio/visual presentations and a few artefacts.
I'm in no way interested in perfume, but Fatima in the Perfume House showed me round and I had a personal and detailed presentation of the different aspects of perfume making, and the subtle smells of the different ingredients. Absolutely fascinating.
There were so many other houses - history, culture, religion, wildlife, flora, the water and so on.
It was sad that there were so few visitors here. In many of the houses I had the place to myself. There were security guards, but they were friendly, helpful and discrete.
I had to be somewhere else so I sadly had to cut my journey short, but Al Shindagha made a lasting impression on me. It's also on a very quiet part of the Creek, and there are also a number of cafes and restaurants on the waterfront.
OK. Dubai is glitzy, glossy and very much 21st century, but if you want to get an idea of the original Dubai, this is the place to come.
Fantastic.Written 20 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - 138Paul138Canterbury, UK1 430 contributionsThe building is amazing and compliments the title of the attraction.
Pre-booking is essential as it is very popular. You’ll probably not spend more than 2hours here, so some may feel it is not worth the entrance fee. As you wait in the queue flying fish and a robotic dog entertain the crowd. You are not allowed to take backpacks and there is a luggage area which stores your bag securely as you complete the tour.
The tour is centred around 4 chapters and the year 2071. Approximately 20 persons commence the tour at a time which means it is not crowded within each chapter. Some reviews will state it’s a complete waste of time, however it is thought provoking and makes you think what is possible. Some areas are dull and not as good as others.
Full facilities are on the ground floor, including toilets and a shop. Prams and wheelchair access is possible.
It may divide opinion, but whilst it is expensive for what it is, I’m happy to have visited it.Written 6 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There were a total of 6 other visitors during my visit. The museum traces the development of the UAE since independence in the early 1970s, and provides insights into how farsighted and leaders of Dubai and Abu Dhabi envisaged the future of the UAE. It's quite educational, and there are a number of interactive displays explaining the development of the UAE..Written 1 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - らわManchester, UK1 712 contributionsThis is a nice small museum and only costs 10 Durhams to enter. It includes free coffee and dates. Lots of antiques and some explanations of the history of coffee, such as the first coffee houses, Japan making the first instant coffee and Nestle making the first freeze dried coffee. Nice and cool inside so a good break from the heat, definitely worth a visit for anyone who likes coffee.Written 26 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
