The square is lovely and nicely decorated in the Festive time. Not as big as I thought it's going to be, still very pretty.
Probably better to visit during a warmer season, doesn't look at its best on a winter day, despite being nicely decorated with Christmas lights seen at night-time.

Since someone is visit the fortress, then you can miss this hug clocks that watches the whole city from above. Situated in an ideal places for photos and next to a railing that it's filled with padlocks from people. Nearby there's also a cafe at where you can refresh yourself after walking all the way up.

Awsome place to chill with friends and drink some beer at the beach. Its almost all serbian food but it can be delicious. Music too loud from all the bars here thats why its 4 star.

I love this tour! I only have one day to visit Fruska Gora. Fruska Gora is very close to Novi Sad and not too far from Belgrade. You can hike or walk but it will take long time to reach the monasteries and you may see only 2 or 3. By bus is difficult. The best way to visit the monasteries is by car. I rented a car. All monasteries are reached through very good roads and the Waze app will guide you. If Waze takes you to a primitive road then stop and restart you search and look for a paved road. The monasteries are 10 to 30 minutes apart by car from each other. All of them offer free parking and there is no entrance fee. All monasteries have central churches and they are the main reason for the visit.

I visited 8 monasteries following their geographical order as follows:

    1. Krusedol (starting monastery)
    2. Grgeteg
    3. Novo Hopovo
    4. Staro Hopovo
    5. Vrdnik
    6. Jazak
    7. Mala Strana
    8. Rakovac (last monastery)

All are open, beautiful, and some have been recently restored. All are impressive; I really like Grgeteg and Jazak followed by Novo Hopovo, Staro Hopovo, Krusedol, Vrdnik, Rakovac, and Mala Strana.

The monasteries have preserved the Serbian culture through religion. Some have souvenir shops that sell very nice and cheap religious memorabilia.

This is a trip to ideally do in a sunny day. However, Fruska Gora is a rainy forest. I visited the monasteries in a rainy day. I enjoyed it. Just have an umbrella handy.

Very cool place. There is so much greenery and comfortable space in the park that everyone can find their place, either on a bench or on the grass. In the middle of the park there is also a pond with ducks and turtles. Unfortunately, it seems that this water is not kept very clean by the locals. But otherwise, it's a perfect place for a walk, a picnic, or just hanging out.

This impressive synagogue is well worth a visit. Fortunately, the communists used the space as a concert venue thus sparing the building. In fact, the synagogue is still used as a concert space. When you arrive, the building will be locked but if you walk to the back (there is a sign saying so), there is a guard who will let you in if you ask. He will charge 100 dinar per person - which goes to building upkeep and his salary.

The inside of the building helps to remind us about what a huge role the Jewish community played in the city's life and history. It's also really beautiful inside too. Unfortunately, it was also the location where the Jews of Novi Sad were assembled before being transported to the camps.

Leon is exceptional and I feel honoured that I had the opportunity to share his passion. My translator, Dragan, is also lovely with so much to share. It was a blast just hanging out with these guys. The adventure itself is well thought-out, very fun but also educational. It's admirable what Leon and UGRIP do to preserve the tunnels. Agree with the user below about skipping everything else and do this in Novi Sad! Just email Leon.

This beautiful, almost untouched jewel of a park, is a hiker's paradise. You can find trails for every level of fun or serious hiking.

There are many areas for picnics, about 2 dozen monasteries, and some beautiful views.

Serbia is a very generous country. It has many beautiful places to see and most of them are free to visit. Novi Sad is a lovely city. The city is easy to visit as most attractions are in the downtown. The fortress of Petrovaradin is the only one that is somewhat distant.

To me, the three most interesting and beautiful sites to visit in Novi Sad are the fortress, the museum of Vojvodina, and this church, the Church of Saint George.

This is an orthodox church with baroque architecture. The iconostasis and the ceiling are beautiful. The most impressive features of the church are windows; they are very delicate and colorful and give a mystical atmosphere to the church. The church is on a pedestrian street and is very easy to find.

    It is a short visit.

To me, the Grgeteg Monastery is one of the three most beautiful monasteries in Fruska Gora. The monastery is remote. You need a car to visit the monastery as well as many other monasteries in Fruska Gora. There is parking space at the entrance. The entrance is just pretty; there is a peaceful, very nice trail. The monastery has been recently restored. The church is magnificent! You cannot take pictures inside. The iconostasis is made of white marble; it is unique! The roofs, the windows, the floors, the walls are just charming!

The monastery is managed by nuns and they are lovely! They will teach you on the monastery's history.

I was the only visitor. There is no entrance fee.
