If you go during the open hours - you can go into and climb up to the top of the lighthouse.....the views are amazing and it's really fun for kids and adults!! Bring a picnic lunch and hang out on the beach!!!
The guardian, a very nice man is very very kind and explain the light house history and everything you are interesting to know about Marta's Vineyard!! Enjoy the view!!

Recommend for $5 for adult to climb the original brick lighthouse (built in early 1800's from clay from the cliffs) for a fantastic view

I walked the paths of the Cornelia Carey Sanctuary to The Knob, & enjoyed amazing views of Buzzard's Bay.
When you get to the end it is worth the trip, your view is great whether looking North up Buzzards Bay towards the canal, or across looking at Mattapoisett, or West Island, or South to the Woods Hole.
