Love the staff at the El boqueron park, the fees is $2 (only cash) and it's great, it as a small food shop and museum and a path well manageable with maps and scenic view point to take great pictures, it's definitely worth the ride there, just ridding up there was a thrill itself, you can definitely see the lake and other volcano and this entire San Salvador city from up there and the El buquaron volcano is small but nice to see. The stairs are the hardest thing to do otherwise it's pretty easy path

Today's vagabond way to see the volcano without spending too much if you are located in San Salvador:
Uber to the site = 40minutes because of the tiny mountain roads it takes a while to get up there from Santa telca but very fun to explore and see, very tropical and beautiful with a high concentration on tourism you can find many attractions parks, hotels and restaurants on the way up to the national park.
    Cost $7.50

Next pay your entrance fees: $2 cash

Enjoy the view points and climb up the stairs to see the cratere and volcano or see the mini museum and buy souvenirs on your way out

Eat lunch: $3.50 with a coffee or soda
With a volcano and lake view

Walk down for about 1.5miles and follow the autobus sign when you see it and there you are, just wait for the big chicken bus that says (Santa Telca) takes about a good 45minutes , runs very slow down the mountain and pick up many passengers, the views is great and cost=20 cents

Get off by the Plaza in Santa telca and enjoy the mall then take the bus that says Metro Centro or San Salvador for 20cens back.

    Total cost $13.50
That includes:Round trip from San Salvador+Entry to the park+buses to Santa Telca+ Lunch Meal

Compare to $50-90 Advertise tour trips that takes hours to pick up people and don't even include the park fee .

If you exclude lunch it's $10 total or if you buy a souvenirs $15 max
If you don't without the Uber on your way there it's : $6.50 total

If you wanted to do it with Uber from Santa telca $18 total . You could take a Uber or taxi from the volcano to San Salvador but the cost is much higher from there and if you pay them cash it's around $20-30 one way witch I don't recommend.

This was definitely the spot to be at night, as there were so many restaurants and bars everywhere. The atmosphere was very cool, and it felt safe all around.

I noticed this beautiful lake when I was flying into the san salvador airport. Like many lakes here, this lake is actually inside of a volcano crater. There is a beautiful park that only charges an entry fee of $6. The park includes some really nice outdoor restaurants, a nice swimming pool with various slides, a lighthouse, There is is a beach with swimming areas and picnic areas. The highlight of my visit here was the nice boat ride that only cost $15 and O included a $5 tip for the great experience. You feel like you are inside of a soap bowl because of the steep slopes around most of the lake area, since you are inside of a volcano. The park is very clean, safe, friendly workers and a great place to get some rest and relaxation. The only bad portion of this trip is that you have to deal with the horrible san salvador traffic scene, since this lake is just outside of the city limits.

Awesome Atmosphere, good food and great cover bands! Prices are very affordable, the mixologists are international grade. The place is clean, spacious, comfortable and free of smoke.
The stage its awesome, gives bit a nostalgia for those acquainted with other Irish pubs and small theaters where great rock bands used to play in the 80's. If your visiting San Salvador and want to go out, sing your lungs out with your friends while having some good food and drinks, Republik should be included in your list of destinations.

My tour guide Mr. Alfredo Diaz is a very dedicated person, he paid attention to every detail throughout the tour, he gave me a detailed introduction of the sites and I appreciated the fact that Mr. Alfredo Diaz has a wealth of knowledge about history and natural sciences. He held an umbrella for me when it rained. He opened the door of the car for me after visiting each attraction. At lunch time, he introduced me to delicious and inexpensive restaurants for lunch. The best part of the trip was that he took many high quality photos of me at each place of interest. Mr. Alfredo Diaz's high quality and excellent service left me with good and pleasant memories of this trip, he is one of the best tour guides I have ever met, and I hope to meet him again the next time my friends and I come to San Salvador.

I decided to go to El Salvador on a whim at the last minute. I sent a WhatsApp to EC Tours described what I like and how much time I had (basically 24 hours) and they planned and arranged everything. Joshy was my guide and she was excellent. We saw the city and El Tunco. They were organized, friendly, and well organized. I highly recommend.

Our experience with Mr. Rafael and Osmar from Eco Tours Petate was exceptional. They were incredibly informative, providing valuable insights throughout the trip. Their driver, Hector, was excellent. They were flexible and accommodating to our group of 21 people and consistently punctual.; they were gracious and respectful to the group. El Salvador is a fantastic vacation destination, especially with Eco Tours Petate. I highly recommend you book your tours with them.

Eric picked my wife and I up from our hotel and took us on a beach tour at El Tunco, in La Libertad. There he arranged a private surfing lesson with a local surfing legend! Afterwards, we ate seafood at a beachfront restaurant. Originally, Eric was going to take us to the pier but was quick to adjust the itinerary when we expressed a desire to see El Zonte beach. After El Zonte, he drove us to the oceanfront Cadejo brewery, where we enjoyed good beer and amazing views of waves crashing on the rocks. All in all, a great experience and a good time, all thanks to Eric and Papagayo Adventures!

Our family had a wonderful 4 days with Alfredo. Prior to the trip, he communicated frequently over a 9 month period to plan a an itinerary that accommodated all interest levels and abilities for our family members. He even arranged for special accommodations for our grandmother who has trouble walking . He was a careful driver, was extremely knowledgeable about the area history, and went above and beyond to make us comfortable in the country. He showed us local spots, took us hiking to a volcano, to the waterfalls, and we even enjoyed a wonderful lunch together overlooking a lake. After we left, Alfredo we stayed at a beach resort he recommended. He checked in with us even when he was not
on duty and helped with the logistics and transportation to our airport hotel. Our family loved our time with Alfredo and would recommend his services to anyone traveling to El Salvador! You would be lucky to get on his agenda.

I did a multi-day Maya Triangle tour (El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala), seeing the major Mayan ruins and other awesome things in the three countries.

Francisco created a custom itinerary and was available to answer my questions before and during my trip. I had no issues using the tickets, bus, drivers, and flight to Flores, Tikal, that Francisco booked for me.

Alex, a Salvadorian native who speaks good English, was my driver in El Salvador and Honduras and to the bus station to go to Guatemala. He made my tour experience stress-free, smooth, and fun. Alex knows how to navigate borders by car and can deal with immigration easy. You will be satisfied with Alex.
